Oh My Foot!
Posted on Oct 08, 2007 under Uncategorized | 12 CommentsCan you see the lump on my foot below? I thought I had an extra piece of bone growing from my foot because this lump is quite hard. I went to see the othopaedic surgeon at Assunta Hospital yesterday. When I entered the room, the surgeon asked me what was wrong. I showed him my foot and he said, “OH”. When a doctor said that, you’ll know it’s not a very good sign. He said I have ganglion cyst which is a mass of tissues filled with jelly-like fluid (I thought I only get cysts in my stomach??)
When he saw my worried face, he explained that it is not serious but needs to be surgically removed. *pengsan*. The thought of going for surgery is scaring the sh*t out of me. Eventhough I have gone through 2 surgeries in the last 7 years, I really don’t need another one 
It’s going to be a day surgery and would take about 45 minutes. Actually I have this lump for over 10 years already but recently it is more visible after I’ve lost some weight…….hehehehehe…sigh The doc said it’s up to me when I want to have the surgery so I am still thinking about it (after we have moved into our house, after CNY, have to arrange for my mom to be around to look after Ashley……. so many things to think about) Boo Hoo!!!!!!

It’s only going to be minor surgery, right? Don’t worry too much since your dr has reassured you that it’s nothing serious. If I were u, I’d remove it soonest possible coz i never like anything that’s not supposed to be in my body to be there for too long.

Hey babe, don’t worry about it. Day surgery je kan? Maybe you can get hubs to jaga Ashley while you go for the surgery? Not good to leave it longerlah, although it has been there since many moons ago. Hehe.

Dont worry too much, just a small surgery right? This is i think not that scary compare to the cysts that in the stomach right? I gone throught that too!

but i think it’s quite a fast, painless surgery. just make sure the dr. subscribes u painkillers ah!

wow, why like that?? its only a minor operation, u have to operate it, dont delay and im sure you will be fine…wish u all the best. dun worry n take care….be brave!!!

Don’t worry as u said just a minor surgery. As long as the professional said is ok then should be ok!

Oh dear…..I’m so sorry you have to go in for surgery. Even though the Dr says it’s a small thing, it’s an inconvenience, isn’t it? Let us know when you decide to go in and we’ll pray for you to have a speedy recovery *smile*
