Tong Yuen
Posted on Dec 22, 2007 under Uncategorized | 5 CommentsToday is the Winter Solstice Festival (Tung Cheet). My mum made some ‘tong yuen’ for us and hers are the small type
I had some this afternoon and it was good. Only get to eat this once a year. The Chinese believe that once you have had some tong yuen, you are a year older…..hehehhe. My mum said Tung Cheet is even more important than the Chinese New Year. We had dinner at IUtama just now but that’s another post
Ahh…..if I have known that Shireen had not had tong yuen for many years already, I would had asked my mum to make more and send some to her. Next year, ok, Shireen? Happy Tung Cheet to everyone!
