Buffet At Eyuzu

Posted on Nov 29, 2009 under family, food | 19 Comments

Yesterday was my mom’s birthday so all of us (including my sisters and brother-in-law) had buffet dinner at Eyuzu in Eastin Hotel.  It was my first time at Eyuzu :)   We were all seated in the private function room and the lil missy was busy going in and out, following her youngest aunt or us when we went out to get the food.  Below are some photos of the food we had.

My mango pudding dessert and yummy mochi

There are many varieties at Eyuzu such as tempuras, sashimi, teppanyaki, sushi, and dessert like ice kacang, ice-creams, mochi, puddings, cakes and more.  Since I cannot eat seafood due to thyroid, I could only drool when my family was eating those delicious oysters and shrimps.  I only stuffed myself silly with fish and desserts :)

Have You Had Sbread Recently?

Posted on Nov 25, 2009 under diet, family, food | 18 Comments

Sunday is the only day where I get to eat whatever I want.  It is my “No Diet” day but I still cannot go overboard with my eating.  Usually I would have noodles for brunch and dinner.  Last Sunday, we went to The Gardens as hubs wanted to check out some auto accessories at a shop in Mid Valley.  My mom and sister came along and we had our lunch at one of the Chinese restaurants (I forgot the name).  Just before we left, we had coffee and some snacks at SBread.  They are famous for their freshly baked Bamboo Charcoal bread and special kayas.  Since it’s a No Diet Day, I ordered a piece of  Bamboo Charcoal bread with Taro (yam) kaya.  Mmmm….delicious.

Fattening but sinfully delicious

Hubs ordered the Mee Siam and he said it is really good.

It was a very good and satisfying meal.  The food was delicious, especially the breads.  They are so fresh and soft.  If you are in Mid Valley, don’t forget to check out SBread.  They are located at the Lower Ground Floor where all the eateries are.

the way she sings

A few days ago, I overhead Ashley singing to herself.  I don’t know what music she was singing to but she made up her own lyrics.  This is what she sang -

Ohhhhh….I’m so sad.  I am so lonely………….“

Can you believe this?  A 4-year old singing about her being sad and lonely?  *shake head*  Wonder where she learned that from.

Concert Day

Posted on Nov 23, 2009 under ashley, children | 23 Comments

Ashley’s kindy held its concert 2 Saturdays ago.  The concert was held at night (7pm to 9pm) in the school building.  It was raining heavily a few hours prior to the concert and was still drizzling when the concert starts.  Luckily everyone arrived safely (no roadside assistance was required) and the concert began on time.  Ashley performed in 2 dance segments. I am glad that she danced well that day and did not have any stage fright :)   Here are some photos.

The school did not provide any costumes nor did they ask her to buy any for Ashley’s class.  Parents were told what clothes to prepare for the concert :)

Last day of school’s project

Yesterday was the last day of school for 2009 and Ashley’s kindy organized a party for all the children.  Parents were encouraged to sponsor some food or party packs for the party. I decided to make some Chocolate Coated Cornflakes for the kids :)

Voila….Chocolate Coated Cornflakes with colourful sprinkles in paper cups.  Ashley helped me to put the sprinkles :)

I got the recipe from Yvonne‘s blog.  It’s a simple recipe and don’t need any baking. Great for those who don’t have an oven like moi ;)

can anything be more boring than this?

Ever since I was diagnosed with Thyroid a few months ago, I stop dieting.  During my last visit to see my Endocrinologist, I discovered that I have put on 2kg.  Arrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh….must be all those snacks I eat in between meals.  Even when I stopped dieting I didn’t eat 3 meals a day.  I only had a light brunch and dinner which consists of vege/fish/meat but no rice.  I can’t believe I put on weight so fast.  So, I quickly went back to dieting.  This is what I normally have for brunch….

Tuna (sometimes I’ll get some ham)

This is my dinner.  Blanched vegetables with oyster sauce.  The brownish stuff on top are beancurd skins stuffed with fish paste.  Sometimes, I’ll add some fishballs.

Pretty boring meal eh?  No choice if I want to lose some weight.  I’m too lazy to move my behind and do some exercise …heheheheehehe.  If all else fails, I think I need to get some Fastin.

A Meal From 2 Shireens

Posted on Nov 17, 2009 under ashley, food, friends | 17 Comments

You all must be wondering what I’m talking about judging from the title of my post eh?  A few days ago, I cooked a jiffy pasta meal for Ashley after seeing Shireen’s post on Mushroom Soup Pasta.   Really simple and easy.  Why did I say 2 Shireens?  Well, another good blogging friend of mine, Shireen, a very funny and hot mama to 2 girls bought some pasta for Ashley during her recent honeymoon trip to Switzerland :D   Yes, Shireen….I only cooked the pasta now..after so many months :D

Souvenir From Beijing

My mom went to Beijing two weeks ago and she bought a lovely headband for Ashley.  It looks like the headgear worn by the Empress :D

Pretty huh?

Check out her famous pose again.

Ashley said it’s a pirate’s hat and when she put it on, she said, “Aye Aye Captain“.  *slaps forehead*  The other day, I heard her saying, “Go up to the hill, Matey

What do you think? Does it look like a pirate’s hat?  hahhahahhahaaha
