Our 2nd day
Posted on Jan 05, 2010 under ashley, me | 27 CommentsThanks for all your comments in my previous post
I’m so happy to read the encouraging words from all of you. Today is the 2nd day that Ashley is in her new school and also my 2nd day at work. We leave the house around 7am to beat the traffic but so far there is no jam at all, just heavy traffic. Reached the school around 7.25am which is still a bit early. Ashley’s school starts at 8am. I hung around her school these 2 days as I want to see how Ashley copes. There are 2 teachers in each classroom and in Ashley’s, there is an older teacher and a younger one. She told me yesterday that she doesn’t like the older one. I think it’s because she is more stern
She cried a bit yesterday and when I asked her why, she said she misses me
So today, I didn’t hang around outside the classroom anymore. As soon as I settled her down in class, I left and had coffee at a nearby cafe
At around 11am (next week the school will dismiss at 12pm), hubs picked us up and we went straight to my dad’s office. Ashley takes her shower, eats her lunch and takes her nap there. We leave the office around 5pm. Here are some pics taken today.
Ashley’s kindy has been around since the 60’s (even older than me…hehhehehee) Here are some swings at the front porch. Pretty old school huh? There are more slides and swings over at the other side.
The four-year-olds lining up after school to wait for their parents/transport. The teachers with helpers keeping a tight watch over who is coming to pick up the children.
Ashley’s class coming out to the porch to line-up
Ashley lining up. She wasn’t very happy here as she wanted to go to the slides but was asked to line up
That’s all for now. Will update more later. Thank you very much for dropping by my blog to check on us. I really appreciate it. You guys are THE BEST!!

Ashley looked so sweet, and those hair-clips are still neatly intact after school. If Chloe, all drop dunno where already haha.

oh..these hairclips are the only ones that would stay on her head. if i use other types, i don’t think they can stay long on her hair

For a kindy to sustain for this long, must be a good kindy… clean and spacious too. I like the school uniform, something like our secondary school uniform but in red, very nice
.
I’m sure Ashley will enjoy her school very much once she gets used to the routine

May I know what time does Ashley sleeps?
Cos Philip sleeps at 9.30 and yet, at 8am..still cannot wake up. Now u said, she arrives at school at 7.25am. That is VERY early…
ashley goes to the room by 9pm and sleeps around 9.15 to 9.30pm. She wakes up at 6pm and takes a 1 hour nap in the afternoon. philip is younger so he needs more sleep i guess. you can let him sleep earlier so that he’ll wake up earlier

My boy’s kindy since 74′, I thought it’s quite old, but Ashley’s kindy more older.
She looks so big cheh cheh ler. School starts at 8am, so early..my kid always late to school at 8.45am. hehe…

I am also coping with my son’s 2nd day at kindy. He will only turn 3 in a few months. And we transport him thru school van. Planning to let go this week. See how lah.
Cant help but to realise all the girls got PINK bags! No other color for girls meh …. yellor or even baby blue nice mah.
how’s your son coping and how are you coping?
eh..you don’t know??? girls love pink and purple. nowadays, kids would choose their own bags according to their favourite colours
i seldom see any yellow / blue bags on girls

my elder sister’s kids all go to the same kindy as Ashley in sect14 but not sure which branch yours is in. it’s a kindy famous in mandarin language & esp recommended for kids going to chinese school
