I have not done it yet……
Posted on Apr 24, 2010 under health, me | 13 CommentsRemember my earlier post about me planning to get the H1N1 jab? Well, I didn’t get it today
I am pretty scared about the side effects. Not the minor effects such as rashes, fever or flu-like symptoms. Those are the commons symptoms which some people may also get when they go for the normal flu jab. I have read about some really frightening side effects which affect the nerves *shake head*. I was thinking about this H1N1 vaccine the whole morning, even while sitting in the doctor’s clinic reading the lipofuze reviews. I could not make up my mind if I should go ahead or not.
I spoke to the doctor at length about this. She said all vaccines even those for Hepatitis B are not 100% safe. Some people may get side effects and some don’t. So far she has not encountered anyone with bad side effects. The doctor asked me to think about it and go back to take the vaccine when I am ready. I will think about it for a week or so
I may go for the flu jab instead

Like epidural, people said got side effect but still if you need that you will go for it. Maybe you ask the doctor if you really need the jab or not.

My SIL and her hub both took the flu jab. Eventually they both fell sick too (flu and fever), which was far worse than the flu that they used to have before the jab. Their advice to us was: No need to take the jab, useless one… Better to boost up your immune system through healthy diet and exercise. If you are generally healthy, you don’t even need the jab in the first place. Just my 2 cents ok
thank you very much for the info. appreciate it.

Barb, if really got fever and flu after that, can still take panadol right?
i guess you can take panadol but it’s i heard it is quite severe and will be sick for a few day
My doc told me that those who are allergic to eggs should not take this jab as there could be very very bad side effects
