Muffins in a jiffy
Posted on Jul 15, 2010 under ashley, food | 30 CommentsSo the other day when we were in Daiso, I spotted this interesting box which looks like some hot chocolate drink. When Ashley saw me looking at it, she asked what that is. Luckily there were instructions in English on the shelf and it was actually a ‘magic’ microwave muffin mix. I told Ashley what it was and she said, “Please mommy, I want to eat muffin. Please buy, please please please“. She kept repeating it and before my ears start to fall off, I bought it. When we got home that day, she asked me to make her a muffin and she wanted to help me.
Chocolate muffin mix
Get a microwaveable cup and break an egg into the cup
a packet of the mix
Pour everything into the cup and mix them together. Ashley helping me to stir
Microwave it for about 10 minutes I think…I forgot how long.
Tadaaa…a chocolate muffin fresh from the microwave. Ashley loved it. I tried some and it tasted a bit like ‘fatt koh’ (steam rice cake)

How interesting! The Japanese alwiz have very innovative stuff.
But RM5 (plus price of egg) for one small “fatt koh” is pretty expensive eh?
oh, the box comes with 2 packets of muffin mix
rm2.50 a muffin plus an egg. still pretty expensive for a fatt koh…hahahahhahaha

RM5 also includes some fun that comes along with trying it out, so still ok lah. The muffin turned out very well and looks nice

Cool! I don’t have oven, as I seldom bake. I have microwave. So this muffin tempted me to bake it. Hahahahah! Very impressive product from Daiso.
