Dream Vacation In Branson, Missouri

Posted on Sep 29, 2010 under entertainment, family, travel | No Comment

It is almost the end of the year.  Come November, the school holidays will start.  This time, all children will be off school for 5 weeks until the first week of January 2011.  We have not planned our holidays yet but if given a chance, I would love for us to visit Branson, Missouri.  I have heard so much about this fantastic vacation destination.  Branson is the home to many great attractions such as award-winning theme parks, cruises and shows.  It is also a shopping mecca with hundreds of brand name outlet stores.   Just thinking of this brings a smile to my face.   Branson, Missouri is one of the top vacation destination in the USA.  With so many attractions, Branson is truly a one-of-a kind family vacation destination.  I cannot wait to check out some affordable Branson vacation packages at BransonGetaways.com and will try to convince the spouse to take us there.  Wish me luck!

another conversation with my 5 year old

I caught Ashley watching a show on tv over the weekend.  It was on Disney Channel. This was how our conversation went.

Me : “What show are you watching, Ashley?”

Ash :  “Good Luck Charlie

Me : “Oh, do you like this show?” (I was surprised because this is a sitcom and not a cartoon)

Ash :  “Yes…because Charlie is soooo cute.”

Me :  “Do you understand this show, Ashley?”  (I was curious to know if she’ll understand what the show is about)

Ash :  “It’s in English, mom

fancy schmancy pancakes

I was blog-hopping and came across Jim’s Pancake blog.  He is a cool dad making cool pancakes for his kids.  Here are some of his creations…

Awesome huh?  So, I decided to brighten up the lil’ missy’s day by making some fun and fancy pancakes like Jim yesterday.  I don’t have any vanilla essense to create coloured pancakes so I decided to use some sprinkles.   These are my creations……

As you can see, I have failed miserably :(   It is really not as easy as it seems.  I need to get better cooking tools in order to make some fancy schmancy pancakes.   Thank God Ashley could recognize the shapes of the pancakes I made and she was pretty happy to see them.  She even gave me a hug and said “Thank You Mommy“….hehehehehee.  Check out Jim’s Pancakes and take a look at his beautiful creations when you have the time.  They are so cool!

our saturday

Posted on Sep 26, 2010 under me, shopping | No Comment

Well, what do you know?  We didn’t stay at home after all.  Our friends invited us to dinner at the mall to celebrate their daughter’s birthday last night.  So I took the opportunity to visit the Cotton On store while the men were having some drinks at Coffee Bean before dinner.  The sale is still going on at Cotton On.  Some items are going for RM50 for 2 and some RM75 for 2.  I did not spend much time there because I did not want everyone to wait for me.  After dinner, I did not have much time to visit other stores either.  Bummer.  If there are any openings at the mall, whether entry-level or management jobs, I think I won’t mind applying for it.  I know I will enjoy working there because I can spend lots of time shopping.

Buy Gold Bullion

Investors buy gold to safeguard and grow their wealth.  Investing in gold bullion is most popular and it is also one of the greatest savings solutions.   The most traditional way of investing is buying gold bullion.   This valuable precious metal is available in coins and bars form.  They come in a variety of sizes and can weigh from a few grams upward.  You can purchase gold from a variety of dealers.  However, it is important to look for a reputable dealer who is well-established and has been in business for a long period of time.  If you are looking to buy gold or other precious metals as investment, do check out US Gold Bureau.com, a trusted dealer in precious metal investment.

Thank God It’s Friday.  This week has been a long one as the past 2 weeks were only a 4-day working week.  I am so looking forward to the weekend :)   I hope I can be a good girl and stay away from the mall :D   What about you?  Do you have any plans this weekend?

Weekday Breakfast At McDonalds

Posted on Sep 24, 2010 under food | 3 Comments

Every morning before we send Ashley to school, we would stop by a coffee shop near her school for a cuppa.  Once a week, we would head over to McDonalds instead.  We love their Weekday Breakfast Special.  Sausage McMuffin with Egg is what hubs and I would order.  A set which comes with a cup of coffee cost RM4.50.  Plus we can refill the coffee for free.  Good huh?  I would normally keep the Sausage McMuffin for lunch and just drink the coffee :)    There is nothing better to perk up the mornings than a cup of good ol’ Arabica coffee from McDonalds :)

Accutane Side Effects

Accutane is a form of Vitamin A to treat acne and was created by a US drug manufacturer.  Accutane was created solely for the treatment of severe acne but some dermatologists have prescribed the drug for mild cases.  It is a strong medication and should never have been prescribed because of its risks.  Accutane has been shown to cause serious side effects which include Crohn’s Disease, severe bowel problems, birth defects, depression, miscarriages and more.  If you or your loved ones suffered from the side effects caused by Accutane, you are entitled to monetary damages for your loss.  You can learn how to file an Accutane Lawsuit at O’Hanlon, McCollum & Demerath.  If you also know of anyone who has taken Trasylol and suffered complications, you can also file a Trasylol lawsuit. Cotton On Kids KL

I finally checked out Cotton On Kids after hearing so much of it.  The only mall in KL which has Cotton On Kids is Sunway Pyramid.   As soon as I stepped into the shop, my heart started to pump real fast…..hehehehehhee.  There are so many trendy clothes for children, especially girls.  Lots and lots of accessories too!  I wanted so much to get Ashley the ballet flats – RM40 for 2 pairs but sadly, they didn’t have a bigger size.  She loves the flats very much and kept saying they are princess shoes :)

This is how the bling bling ballet flats look like :)   Available in silver, gold, matt pink and matt black.

Some of the clothes on sale were tutu skirts, fairy wings, t-shirts and skirts.  There is a RM29 for 2 section and I managed to find 2 tops for her.

I will definitely go back to check out Cotton On Kids again :)
