Author: I just love the weeks leading to the Lunar Chinese New Year. There is excitement in the air. I love seeing the red lanterns, the beautiful peonies, pussy willows, kumquats, mandarin oranges and the list goes on. I also enjoy listening to the Chinese New Year songs. When I was a kid, I looked (still do) forward to Chinese New Year. I couldn’t wait to wear my new clothes, get together with my relatives and receive ang pows. The excitement was like someone who has just received her diamond ring engagement. When I see the red lanterns and all things related to the Chinese New Year celebration, I get that warm fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. Loving that feeling.

Pre-CNY mood? Same here, and I don’t feel like working already :p
Yeah! I like to prepare for CNY earlier, because I feel very excited about this festive.
Yea, I am getting excited to see all things red, it’s a signal that CNY is really approaching!
I love CNY too…Love the gathering with families and relatives.
Yeah, just got started clearing away some old stuff. We’ve been listening to the CNY songs for weeks already. BTW, I have bought some dried food like mushrooms and Chinese sausages, they’re getting more expensive, so will buy less this year.
