Although shopping is not the conventional type of therapy, it does have positive emotional effects on people. Shopping relieves stress and anxiety, which can be good for some people.  However, shopping can also be a problem because it may cause overspending.  Once all the shopping are done, people often become stressed over how much they paid.

Too much stress can lead to depression.   One in three people goes through depression or panic attacks at least once in our lives.  Depression or depressive disorder is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how a person feels, think and act.
