Top Ten Weight Loss Pills

Posted on Sep 18, 2010 under diet, family, health | No Comment

Recently, my sister consulted her doctor regarding her weight problem.  She wants to lose weight by the end of this year as she has a few wedding dinners and reunion to attend.  She has always wanted to lose weight and has tried dieting but to no avail.  My sister discovered some popular diet pills on the internet but she was not too sure how effective they are.  She printed out a list of the Top ten weight loss pills and showed it to her doctor.  After going through the list, her doctor recommended that she takes Fenphedra which helps to suppress the appetite.  My sister said she will try it for a month and hopes to lose 5 kg.

Yikes…It’s getting tight

I was trying out some clothes which I haven’t worn for a few months and boy, am I sad.  Some of my pants are tighter now, especially the waist and the hip area :(   I admit that I have fallen off the diet wagon.  Ever since the Chinese New Year, I have been chomping down on lots of carbo.  Well, it’s time to get some adipex diet pill or back to my braised vegetable / fishball dinner now.  I have started to take 2 wholemeal bread with tuna for lunch.  Let’s hope I can shed some weight again in a few weeks’ time.

Haji Samuri Kajang Satay

Last week, hubs suggested that we try the famous Haji Samuri Kajang Satay which has a branch at the Awan Besar rest stop along Kesas Highway.  It’s quite near our house actually :)

Hubs ordered some chicken and beef satays.  The satays were not bad but unfortunately they were cold.  Would be better if they reheated them.

The satay came with a generous bowl of peanut sauce, chilli, cucumbers and some ketupat.  No onions though :(

Hj. Samuri’s satay come in large chunk of meat and ost RM0.60 a stick.  There is a whole range of other kinds of meat such as deer and rabbit. ……….eeewwwwww.  I can only stomach chicken satay.    Hubs think their satay is the best and will be going back for more.  I think I better get ready some phentermine without a prescription if he is going there again.  One thing that puts me off is that there are many cats roaming around the eatery.  Some even sat on the chairs and jumped onto the table to eat the leftovers *slaps forehead*

Have You Had Sbread Recently?

Sunday is the only day where I get to eat whatever I want.  It is my “No Diet” day but I still cannot go overboard with my eating.  Usually I would have noodles for brunch and dinner.  Last Sunday, we went to The Gardens as hubs wanted to check out some auto accessories at a shop in Mid Valley.  My mom and sister came along and we had our lunch at one of the Chinese restaurants (I forgot the name).  Just before we left, we had coffee and some snacks at SBread.  They are famous for their freshly baked Bamboo Charcoal bread and special kayas.  Since it’s a No Diet Day, I ordered a piece of  Bamboo Charcoal bread with Taro (yam) kaya.  Mmmm….delicious.

Fattening but sinfully delicious

Hubs ordered the Mee Siam and he said it is really good.

Mushroom Soup

It was a very good and satisfying meal.  The food was delicious, especially the breads.  They are so fresh and soft.  If you are in Mid Valley, don’t forget to check out SBread.  They are located at the Lower Ground Floor where all the eateries are.

can anything be more boring than this?

Ever since I was diagnosed with Thyroid a few months ago, I stop dieting.  During my last visit to see my Endocrinologist, I discovered that I have put on 2kg.  Arrrgggghhhhhhhhhhh….must be all those snacks I eat in between meals.  Even when I stopped dieting I didn’t eat 3 meals a day.  I only had a light brunch and dinner which consists of vege/fish/meat but no rice.  I can’t believe I put on weight so fast.  So, I quickly went back to dieting.  This is what I normally have for brunch….

Tuna (sometimes I’ll get some ham)

This is my dinner.  Blanched vegetables with oyster sauce.  The brownish stuff on top are beancurd skins stuffed with fish paste.  Sometimes, I’ll add some fishballs.

Pretty boring meal eh?  No choice if I want to lose some weight.  I’m too lazy to move my behind and do some exercise …heheheheehehe.  If all else fails, I think I need to get some Fastin.

Potato Patties

Last Friday, I decided to make some potato patties after seeing Merryn’s :D

First I steamed the potatoes till they are soft.

Then in another bowl, I mixed the marinated chicken meat and onions together. Didn’t have any carrots that day.  Bummer.

After I mashed the potatoes, I mixed them together with the meat and onions.   Added a bit of cornflour.  Kneaded the mixture into ball size and dipped the patties into the beaten egg.   Somehow, I don’t know why mine doesn’t look like balls like what Merryn did.  Mine came out looking all distorted.   Below are a few of the good looking ones….hahahahaha.

Can anyone tell me how to make these patties into ball size?   Despite their odd looking shape, Ashley loves them. She polished off most of the potato patties.  Thank God.  If not, I would have to finish them and then look for some Apidexin. Since Ashley loves them, I’ll be making more in the future.

my brunch

Hubs went to the bank this morning and across the bank is the Big M restaurant.  He decided to get himself some breakfast there and bought this back for me :D

A Sausage McMuffin with Egg for my brunch.

I like mine with some grape jam.  Quirky taste eh?

Hubs and I love Mcdonald’s breakfast meal.  Usually we’ll order the Big Breakfast if we happen to dine in.  Can’t have these often as they are not very good for the waist and for the pockets too :D I heard that they have hotcakes for breakfast too. Has anyone tried that yet?  Ok…I will have to read some liporexall reviews after my brunch. Been eating a lot recently so it’s time to start dieting again :(

it’s probably not bed bugs

that caused Ashley to scratch nonstop.  This is because last night we all slept in our beds and yet this morning, Ashley’s body began to itch when she woke up.  So, she scratched and scratched till red patches appeared all over her legs, hands and buttocks :(   Her eyelids were slightly red too.  I quickly applied calamine lotion on those areas and then fed her a teaspoon of allergy meds given by her doc a few weeks when she had a slight rash on her finger and feet.  Then, I sent her off to school eventhough and she cried when I left.  Bad mommy huh?  Luckily she was ok when I picked her up.  The teacher said she was fine and only cried a bit.  I will be feeding her the allergy meds for the another day or two, just in case.  She didn’t scratch anymore this whole afternoon. In the meantime, I think she is allergic to some food which she ate while in Ipoh.  She had the following:-

Ipoh Koay Teow Soup at 2 different places 2 days in a row

Chee Cheong Fun with char siew

Oyako Don (chicken/egg rice) at Sushi King

maybe she’s allergic to Ipoh koay teow? or the ingredients in the soup or the chee cheong fun?  *sigh*  Really mind-boggling.  Think I am going to need some acne treatment soon as I can feel some acne popping up on my face due to stress :(

Bagels again

Posted on Mar 18, 2009 under diet, food, me | 11 Comments

Last week, I dropped by my favorite place again -Coffee ‘n’ Bagel Station at Plaza Damas.  Was craving for some bagels :D   You know I’m crazy over them right?  Coffee ‘n’ Bagel Station had a promotion – Buy 5 Bagels Get 5 Free.  Heaven!!!  I shared them with my sister and we got 2 Pumpkin seeds, 2 Sunflower seeds, 2 Italian, 2 Poppy Seeds and 2 Sesame seeds.  My favorite are poppy seed bagels but got to be careful after eating them.  Have to make sure those darn poppy seeds are not stuck on your teeth…haahahahaha

I couldn’t finish all in one day so I put them in a bag and kept them in the freezer

My Sesame seed bagel for lunch.  Had one a day ;)
