This is a backdated post. A week before the Chinese New Year, I was at the pasar malam (night market) in my area and I saw a stall which sell many children’s clothing. I went to take a look and was happy to see that this stall is like those factory outlet stores….hehehehhehe. They sell mostly GAP, Old Navy, Gymboree and Disney brand clothes. Of course I started looking for some good deals for Ashley and managed to find a Gap hoodie for her. It cost rm13. Cheap eh?

Floral hoodie

I found another Gap sweater for rm15. Not bad huh?
I always love a good bargain like this
Today is Thursday and it’s Pasar Malam night. I hope the stall is open so that I can go look for more things

We went shopping at IOI mall about 2 weeks ago for new Chinese New Year clothes. Alas I couldn’t find anything for myself but Ashley got something from her por por. My mom bought her a lovely denim skirt from The Brands outlet. I like the flower design on the skirt and what’s great is that the skirt has adjustable waist.

Ashley’s denim skirt for CNY

Ashley loves to wear this kind of black shoes with a little heel and she calls them her dancing shoes (like those tap dancers). My mom bought her this pair of black shoes from Jusco.
The lil missy has a few sets of new clothes to welcome the new year. Kids these days are so lucky huh? Stay tuned later for what she’s going to wear on the first day of the Lunar Year (as if this is a fashion blog…….heheheheheheheh)

Every year on the first day of the Chinese New Year, I would let Ashley wear a traditional clothing. It has been like a tradition already
Most of them were bought by her ‘kung kung’
I was looking at the albums in the computer and managed to find the photos of Ashley wearing traditional clothes during CNY from 2006 until now.

CNY 2006. Ashley’s first CNY with her por por.

CNY 2007 wearing a qi pao

CNY 2008 wearing an orange top and skirt which I bought from Yvonne

CNY 2009 wearing a pink ’sam fu’
This year will be the same too. However we have yet to see her clothes as my dad is still in Hong Kong now. Will be back later today with the CNY clothes for his princess grand-daughter

We are already in the third week of the school holidays and there are 3 more weeks to go before school starts. This time, we did not make any plans to go away for a break. Maybe it is because my mind is preoccupied with the changes that are going to take place next year. Come to think of it, I really should have made some holiday plans. All inclusive family vacations would be good for us. I heard that Azul Sensatori Hotel which is located on the shores of the Mayan Riviera, is very family oriented and has a handful of incredible family-friendly amenities. This world-class resort is an ideal holiday venue for families. Oh well, perhaps we would go on a family vacation next December. By then, I hope things would have settled down nicely.

I received this email from my sister about Gucci’s handbags and accessories. This is how Gucci merchandise are being sold in the US *faint* Most probably this is during some warehouse sale or at the Gucci outlet but still…… like those in pasar malam (night market). They are SO CHEAP! No wonder my cousin who came back from the States recently for a vacation was carrying so many Gucci bags - diaper bag, handbag, wallet & luggage bag O.O

I think I’m going to faint now.

On Saturday, Ashley and I spent some time at my sis’s place. When Ashley knew we were going over to her yee yee’s place, she was very excited. She quickly took out her little luggage bag and start to pack *slaps forehead* It’s like we were going on a vacation. My youngest sister went to Spore last week and bought a set of necklace and bracelets for Ashley. Of course, this vainpot couldn’t wait to put them on. Check out what she wore to her yee yee’s place. Top to bottom in pink with accessories. What’s next? Shopping for wrinkle eye cream? She’s growing up too fast. Ashley enjoyed herself at her yee yee’s place, playing Wii Bowling and hanging out with her aunts.

Sorry for the blur image. It was taken by my sister using her mobilephone.

I saw some of these “Zhu Zhai Pheng” (Cookies in the shape of piglets) at the market this morning. I have been waiting for them
Ain’t they cute? Piglet Cookies in Traditional Piglet Cage Baskets. Ashley adores these little cute piglets. When she was 1 and 2 years old, she only played with them. Now, she loves eating them
Oh well, she did ask me to find one in a pink basket…..hahahahaha. Going to get more tomorrow

After staying at home for almost 2 months, we finally went to the mall yesterday
Since my BIL wanted to do some shopping, we all went to The Curve in the evening. Boy, it was great to go out and I needed to buy a few items. There are sales everywhere and of course I couldn’t help myself when I was at The Brands outlet in Ikano. Though Ashley has received lots of clothing recently from Canada, I still got her these 2 outfits :-

A short skirt

a little sundress
I am still a bit scared of going to a crowded area like the shopping mall. Luckily there were not many people yesterday. I got my hand sanitizer ready as it’s quite troublesome to keep going to the washrooms to wash our hands at the Hansgrohe faucet. I kept reminding Ashley not to touch the escalators and chairs. Pretty paranoid eh?

We went at Ikano yesterday after visiting my dad at his office. We didn’t go to Ikea eventhough Ashley kept saying she wanted to go there to see her bedroom *shake head* I like Ikano and The Curve because they are not too crowded. Of course, another reason is that The Brands outlet is there
Love to check out their children’s clothes. Whilst I was there yesterday, I saw this cute little pink dress and could not resist getting it for Ashley. Since we have a wedding dinner next month, I think this dress is just perfect. I love the colourful ribbons for tying at the back of the dress as well as the big polka dots. Nice? The good thing is that I bought this dress for a steal
