On Saturday, Annie and Elaine dropped by our house and everyone had a fun time. First we went to the market nearby for some shopping and then proceeded to have breakfast at one of the coffee shops. Then the kids went back to house to play while Annie and Elaine did more shopping. Here’s what the kids did while the mommies were out shopping.

When Amber was wearing the purple flower skirt which Sasha made, Ashley wanted to wear one and be a princess too. Thank God Sasha made another pink one which I have kept in the closet. So I quickly brought it out and both girls are happy wearing their Princess skirts.

After playing for a while, all of us proceeded to the 100 Yen shop in Kuchai Lama for more shopping and then to Shireen’s place. You can read more at Annie’s blog and Elaine’s blog

We were at Fearles’ & Cruz’s birthday party recently and the kids (Fearles, Cruz, Tessa and Ashley) sat together for dinner. I was seated at the next table and when I turned to look at Ashley, I had to take a photo because……

Ashley sat with her leg crossed…..muahahahahaahahhahah. What a big change from how she sits at home sometimes. She likes to put one leg up on her chair when she’s eating her food. Yes, horrifying. My grandmother used to reprimand us when we were kids to never sit like that. Sometimes Ashley would even shake her leg *faint* We’ll scream at remind her to always put her legs down or stop shaking when that happens. So yes, I was surprised to see her sitting like a lady. Wonder where she learned that because her mommy doesn’t sit with her legs crossed

Eventhough Ashley’s birthday is over, this lucky girl is celebrating Hubs’ partner and friend, William & his wife, Junko organized a bbq birthday party for Ashley at their house last night. The kids had a great time playing and turning the playroom upside down. The men were busy barbecuing while the wives chatted about holidays, kids, sensa scam and shopping among other things. Here are some photos taken last night.

Since Ashley is in the ‘Princess’ phase, she loves wearing skirts. Of course this gives her shopaholic mommy more excuse to excuse. Sadly, I haven’t been able to find skirts that I like (affordable and nice). The local brands like Poney are way too expensive. I also can’t find at The Brands or FOS. So, I asked this talented mama if she could sew one for Ashley I told her what kind of designs I like and she let me choose the fabric.

After sewing day and night some magic touch, voila…..

Ashley’s handmade skirt by Auntie Sasha. Nice? I like the patchwork design and mix & match fabric.

Ashley’s skirt is Sasha’s 2nd Skirt Project. She made a denim one earlier. She also made a few more pretty skirts after this, even one for herself. Treatment For Eczema

Recently, a friend posted some photos of her 8 month old boy in Facebook and I was shocked to see that her son has very bad eczema. There were red patches on his cheeks and blisters on his arm. Poor baby. My friend has been looking for various eczema treatments but to no avail. I hope she will be able to find the right treatment soon as it is heartbreaking to see her little son like this.

We finally went to The Curve today. I have been wanting to go since they put up their Chinese New Year decorations but didn’t get a chance until today. Their decor is pretty simple with lots of green bamboos and pastel coloured lanterns. I like it. The mall was not packed today. Guess many people are still not back from outstation. Did I get anything today? Well, of course…hehehheehe. I got 2 Gap t-shirts from FOS at a steal. Ashley got a Peter & Jane book and as for hubs, he didn’t buy anything. However he bumped into an old friend and were chatting for a bit about their families, work and also another friend’s social security disability benefits. We left the mall at around 2pm.

For the past few days, something went wrong with my blog. No one could leave any comments and worse of all, I could not even see all the comments that were left previously. An Error 404 message appear each time. I am sure many readers experienced that when they come to my blog to leave a comment. I started to panic because I thought my blog was infected with virus Thank God my dear friend, Jan and her hubs knew what was wrong and they helped me to fix the glitch. Thank you very much for your help, Jan and PB. Anymore sleepless nights due to this will definitely see acne popping up on my face. Luckily I don’t need any acne medications for now.

My dear friend, Jen Cheung from Toronto sent these cute key chains to me and Ashley for Christmas. She handmade those colourful ‘mini pillows’. Isn’t she creative? For your information, Jen and I have never met. She is another good friend whom I met online. Like I’ve always said….I am so lucky to have met so many wonderful friends through blogging. Besides great friendship, they have been showering me and Ashley with lots of gifts. We are really blessed.

Do check out Jen’s blog whenever you have the time. This pretty girl also has a great passion for food and she has created a food blog called Passion4Food. Boy, those food featured in her blog sure makes me hungry. Some of the places she eats in Toronto brings back fond memories of the time when I was staying in there.
