Ashley told me this last Thursday when she came back from school. This is what she said – ” Mom, you know something? Today teacher asked me to sweep the floor“. I was surprised and I thought perhaps her class teacher has allocated the chores for the kids in class like cleaning the white board, etc. I remember doing that when I was a kid and enjoyed it. I asked her why and did the rest of the class help out? She replied, “Because I sharpened my colour pencils on the floor. Only me and my friend (the girl sitting next to her) have to sweep the floor“. Hehehehehehehe….These 2 girls have thrown the pencil shavings on the floor. I told her that next time, she has to sharpen the pencils at the dustbin and must not leave the shavings on the floor. She doesn’t do that at home and I wonder why she did it in school. It is good that her teacher is teaching them to be responsible. When you dirty the classroom, you have to clean it up. Then she said something that made me burst out laughing. “Am I the maid now?“ Ashley Oh Ashley!

Last night was Ladies’ Night for me and a few good friends. We went out for dinner/drinks after work and Ashley was at home with her daddy. I seldom leave her behind and I always say she is like an ‘elephant glue’. I told her a few days ago that I would be going out and she would be staying at home with daddy. She said she’ll miss me … etc. Then last night when I came home, hubs told me something funny. Ashley took a photo of me from the shelf and put it on her table. She said she missed me and wanted to see me when she was eating her dinner and doing her homework….muahahahahahahahahah. This is too funny and I had a good laugh. She is such a silly girl.

Hubs was on the way out one night to meet up with his friend when Ashley stopped him.

Ashley : “Daddy, where are you going?“

Hubs : “I’m going out to meet a friend“.

Ashley : “What is his name?”

Hubs : “I’m meeting Uncle Chew“.

Ashley : “Where?“

Hubs : “mumbled the venue”.

Ashley : “How old is Uncle Chew?”

Hubs burst out laughing and said he doesn’t know.

Ashley : “What time are you coming back?”

muahahahahahhaah….this lil interrogator is good. I don’t have to ask any questions now since she’s doing it on my behalf.

Gung gung came back from Beijing a few days ago and bought some gifts for his precious granddaughter.

He got her a pink Barbie raincoat which she absolutely adore since it’s P-I-N-K and also a funny face mask (is that what you call it?).

Ashley removed the red nose and the mouthpiece and wore the glasses the whole day. She is fascinated with wearing a pair of spectacles and has been doing it every day when she comes back from school. She said she wants to pretend that she can’t see clearly and needs them

She even wore it when she’s doing her homework and watching telly. She’s such a silly girl who never fail to make us laugh with her antics

There’s a new member in the family and she is …..

The Lekkamrat Doll from Ikea. This is a new collection which includes 3 multicultural dolls (according to the laser barcode scanner when I brought the doll to the machine to check the price) . Doesn’t she looks kinda funny? At first I thought the doll looks like a boy but when I looked at the outfit sets, it comes with a dress which she’s wearing now.

She came in this pink outfit. Hubs bought it because he said the doll is cute and his princess would love it. True enough, she just adore the doll and has named her ‘Todor‘. What a funny name eh? Ashley said it sounds like one of the characters in Pororo the Little Penguin She has been bringing Todor to bed every night now and is neglecting poor Charlie

Over the weekend, while I was checking out www.trustedquote.com for insurance quotes online, Ashley came up to me and said Charlie needed a good wash. Well, I think it’s about time too because Charlie is getting pretty dirty and has not taken a bath since she arrived at our home *gasp*

Getting ready for a good wash. She was wrapped in a towel and put inside the laundry mesh bag. Ashley was afraid that Charlie would be scared in the washing machine and she kept telling her it’s ok Such innocence Sometimes she treats Charlie like a doll and sometimes she thinks she’s real I forgot to remove the milk bottle and after the wash, it was filled with water *slaps forehead*

A clean Charlie after being in the wash for 45 mins and out in the sun for 2 hours

When hubs saw the Tesco Make Believe Deluxe Cash Register recently, he knew he had to get it for his princess. That’s because she has been asking for one for a while. See, I’m not the only one who keeps buying stuff for her Ashley she wants to be a cashier when she grows up

Once in a while after she returned from school, Ashley would tell me that her schoolmates have new school bags, etc. Then she’ll say, “Oh how I wish I have a new school bag“. A few days ago, she told me that her friend, Harry has a new pencil box. She said she also want one. I explained to her that it doesn’t mean each time her friends have new things, she should get them too. I told her that she’s already a lucky girl with so many toys, a few sets of colour pencils, bags, etc. There are many children who are too poor to even go to school, no toys to play and no food to eat. Some of these children wear clothes with holes on them because their family cannot afford to buy them clothes. She was silent for a while and then she said …..
