Do you know that Mid Valley is promoting the Pirates of the Caribbean 4 movie at the Center Court? We were at Mid Valley yesterday and when Ashley saw the magnificent replica of the Pirates of the Caribbean “Queen Anne’s Revenge” pirate ship, she was in awe. The first thing she said was “I want to look for the treasure chest”!

She was excited to see many chests with lots of treasures like pearl necklace, diamonds and gold. Many people were seen taking the treasures out and posed for the cameras. After spending a few minutes checking out the ship and the decor, Ashley asked me where are the pirates. She was quite disappointed that she didn’t get to see any on the ship. Then suddenly, she stumbled on a few of them

Ashley got to wear a pirate hat for a while, courtesy of my dear friend, Mabel, the owner of Dragonfly Tattoo Studio at Mid Valley. Dragonfly has a booth at the center court in conjunction with the Pirates of the Caribbean promotion. It is offering airbrush tattoos, semi-permanent tattoos and hair wrap at the booth now.

Dragonfly booth
Mabel wanted to give Ashley an airbrush tattoo of a butterfly but she said she’s scared of the needles *slap forehead*. Then Mabel decided to give her a hair wrap cos pirates have hairwraps too.

The quirky Mr. Deep.

As usual, Ashley choose pink/purple threads.

This is how the hair wrap looks like. You can wash your hair as usual. To remove, just cut the end of the thread and pull the threads out.

Arrrr…..Me a beauty lass? What yer think?
Every day after she has done her homework at the office, Ashley would disturb her No. 1 fan, ‘Gung Gung‘. She’ll go to her grandpa’s room to chat, sing and perform. Sometimes she’ll drive her ‘gung gung‘ crazy because she wouldn’t stop talking or singing when he has to attend to a phone call or do some paper work. So, ‘gung gung‘ came up with a plan. That is to give her some work to do in order to keep her occupied. He would write some questions on a piece of paper for her to do, like the one below.
Grandpa also bought a Primary 1 English workbook for her to do. He’ll let her work on one page a day.
After finishing her work, she’ll be rewarded with an ice-cream or gummy bear. That would keep her quiet for a few minutes
My mom has her hair permed and occasionally after washing her hair, she would curl her hair with rollers. It is a normal to see my mom with rollers at home

A few days ago, hubs and I went out to do some errands and also to check out the home cellular booster. Ashley decided to stay at home with her por por. We were surprised that she didn’t want to follow us out. About 2 hours later, she called us and asked why we weren’t home yet. She told us to hurry as she has something to show us
Guess what greeted us when we reached home?

Ms. Cheeky with rollers! She told her por por that she wants rollers on her hair too when she saw my mom doing it….muahahahahhahahahaha
I saw this at simply modern mom and thought it would be fun to share a lil something about me.
Making : extra time to clean and organize the house
I would love to hear more about you too. Just copy and paste this in your post and then leave a comment here to let me know that you have done it so that I can go read
A nice way to learn a little about each other. C’mon, it’s fun!
We went to The Gardens on Sunday as hubs was keen to check out some challenge coins. When we walked past Thomas Sabo, I stopped to take a look at their sterling silver accessories on the window. The missy quickly came over and look at them too. Then she asked, “Why are you looking at these mom? Are you going to marry daddy again?”. She fell into a fit of laughter after that. Now where did she learn that from?

wore her aunt’s sunnies and called herself Lady Gaga
We went out for dinner last night and spotted a dog training session nearby. Ashley was ecstatic to see the dogs as she just loves them. After spending about 10 minutes to watch the training, we went to have our dinner. While there, she kept telling us that she wants a dog so that she can train it. She went on and on about how much she loves a dog and etc. I told her we’ll think about it. In the meantime, I told her she already has 2 at home (toy dogs) and she can start training them now….kakakkkakaakaka
dog training session
Right after we reached home, she asked to tie up Tyson the rottweiler and Coco the poodle and took them for walks around the house. Then she asked them to “Stand” and “Stay”.
Stand on your paws, Tyson
My poor girl. We all love dogs but I don’t want to end up taking care of it. *Sigh* I know she will be asking for a dog again and again until she’s 16 (that’s when I told her she could have one).
I finally moved my butt and renewed my passport which has expired a year ago. I also took this opportunity to get Ashley her first passport too. Last week, she went to the photo studio to get her passport photo ready. My sister told her not to smile when taking her photo because she knows Ashley has her signature look i.e. head tilt and fingers on her face pose.

during the photo-taking session

This is how her passport photo looks like …..hehehehe. She looks so matured huh?
We went to the National Registration Department in Puchong Utama which has opened a new Immigration counter complete with modern office furniture to attend to the needs of the residents in Puchong. We do not reside in Puchong but we still went there because I was pretty sure that this place would not be packed like the ones at Damansara or Wilayah Kompleks. We arrived at around 8.30am and were Number 5 in line. Ashley and I got our passports at around 10am. Fast eh? The officers were courteous and friendly. So, if you stay in Puchong or near its vicinity, you can go to this Immigration Dept to renew your passport.
Here are our passports in the cute handmade passport holders from Sewing Monster (www.sewingmonster.blogspot.com). I got the sweet Yumiko holder for Ashley but guess what? She prefers the one on the right because it has more PINK! *slaps forehead*

Saw this pillow in Etsy. The felt is made from 100 percent post consumer recycled water bottles. The empty bottles are melted down and turned into high quality soft felt which is then used to make this pillow. How cool is that
If I have this at home, it will serve as a reminder to the missy not to go into the whimper whinyland mode. She’s going to be 6 this year and I don’t know how long it will take before she stops her whining *pulls hair*
Today, we made our way to Taman Tun Dr. Ismail’s Market to watch the lion dance performance at Annie‘s invitation. We missed it last year. Ashley is extremely fond of the lion dance this year so when we told her this morning that we are going to watch them, she was very excited. Elaine and Patsy together with their families were there too. Oh, we also bumped into Agnes and her pretty girls
We spent 5 hours in TTDI today and watched a few performances by different troupes. Had a great time!
The lion performing on stilt at the back entrance
Two lions inside the market
When we were home, Ashley did her own lion dance performance and got us to watch it

She lined up Charlie, Coco and 2 teddies as her lions. She told us to pretend that they are moving to the beat of the drum.
