Sorry for not updating my blog more often. I have sort of lost my blogging mojo. It started slipping away at the end of last year. I seem to be without words or inspiration to blog anymore. I am also not concern whether I am making $$ or not with my blogs Unlike last year or the previous years where I would be chasing after advertisers, waiting in front of the computer to grab paid posts, logging into my accounts to check for work, hope that my blogs have ranks, etc. Things are changing and that is good. I haven’t given up on blogging yet. I’ll still blog but not so frequently I guess Been pretty busy with lots of other things … good things. The Year of the Water Dragon is going to be a great year for us. I just know it In the meantime, if you have seen my mojo, please bring it back to me.

This is another post about my birthday. Sorry to bore you all. Just want to record everything down for memories Last Saturday, my buddies, Annie and Elaine had a belated celebration with me. We went to a seafood restaurant in Taman Midah for dinner. Annie’s birthday is also in January so it was an early birthday celebration with her too.

Birthday cake baked by dear Elaine for us. Awesome cake made with love!

Our yummy seafood dinner which consists of steam crabs with eggs, lala with noodles, succulent prawns, vegetable and sweet and sour pork.

A beautiful pearl necklace, a Jamie Oliver Cookbook and another set of accessories. The ladies know how much I love pearls and Jamie Oliver Thank you very much my dear buddies It was wonderful to celebrate my birthday with all of you.

I celebrated my birthday on Thursday and do you know what is nice to do on your birthday? Logging on to facebook and seeing all the birthday wishes from friends and family I also received many sms-es from dear friends. I am so touched to see receive all the wishes. Thank you very much everyone. You all are awesome!

I had a little celebration in the office. My sisters bought me this yummy cake from San Terri.

Yesterday I went shopping after work. It’s a belated birthday celebration and also since Chinese New Year is approaching, it is time to shop and splurge Hubs still owe me one present Tonight I will be having a belated celebration with my buddies. I am one happy gal!

Chinese New Year!

Now that the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over, I am so looking forward to ushering in the Year of the Dragon. I followed hubs to a cable wire management store in the neighbourhood recently and was so glad to see FnC (Fun N Cheer) next door. FnC is a shop that sells lots of merchandises from China. When we were there last week, the whole place is filled with Chinese New Year decor items.

I couldn’t resist and bought 2 Red Fabric Lanterns. It cost RM19.90 each. Cheap eh?

I bought a few stalks of fake peonies for my CNY craft. Can’t wait to get started on them

When Ashley saw these Angry Bird angpows (red packets), she asked us to buy for her just because one of them is a girl. I am so not a fan of Angry Birds.

I got this basket from a flower stall at the market yesterday. I’m going to fill it with Mandarin oranges later.

Thank God It’s Friday already! This week is the 2nd week of the school holidays. I still haven’t done much with Ashley There are many things on my list that I would like to do this holiday like starting her on swimming lessons, doing crafts with her, taking her on a holiday, going on road trips, decorating for Xmas, etc. Blogging has been slow too. So much to do, so little done. I guess I am getting lazy and I think I am losing my mojo. I need to get everything back in gear soon! Have a nice weekend peeps!

Elaine has been telling me about Chatimes but I only got to try the drinks there recently when one opened at Scott Garden near where I stay. Best of all, there is no queue at this one. Chatimes is the Premium Pearl Milk Tea chain from Taiwan which is mushrooming around KL now. Chatimes is extremely popular and I find it kinda odd because bubble teas have been around for quite a while. Many say that they have the original taste of tea, unlike the local bubble tea places. Anyway, I’m quite hooked right now. I don’t drink tea so I usually order their Ice Coffee with different types of jellies. Mmmm….yums.

Happy Monday peeps. The weekend went by so quickly. I had such an awesome time with my BFFs. It was a few days of laughter, tears (from laughing so hard), good food and great fun. We checked into a hotel in Pomelosville for the gathering, went out for a sumptuous dinner at a Chinese restaurant and sang/dance the night away at a Karaoke. We sang songs that are the soundtrack of our lives, you know…. those that bring back childhood memories of our friendships, first love and all other memories…. Sometimes I wish that I could go back into time when everything seemed so carefree and much simpler.

We had JJ Swiss rolls – Chempedak, Durian, Coffee Walnut and more, all in the fridge in the hotel just in case we’re hungry

One of my friends brought some Red Ginseng Collagen Essense masks for everyone to use so that we’ll look good and refresh the next day after a long night So thoughtful eh?

Yes, I brought the little one along with me and she also had a great time singing her fav songs at the Karaoke. I feel so old when she’s singing songs by Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry! We left the place at 2am and she only slept around 3am.

The weekend was too short for me and I am missing my girlfriends badly Can’t wait till we see each other again. Till then, we just had to make do with facebook, msn or skype I am so thankful for my friends. They keep me sane and grounded. Hope you all had a fab weekend.

This is exactly what I am going to do for the next few days. Can’t wait to see my bunch of crazy girlfriends. We have been friends for over 30 years It was so much fun during the meet-up we had in January and since we all miss each other so much, we are going to have another reunion now Not easy to get everyone together as some of them are residing overseas but we managed. Hope you’ll all have a great weekend.

Just a thought. Don’t you find it annoying when people brag about themselves? I have met people who boast about their achievements, their kids’ achievements, their new huge flat screen lcd tvs, the new car in their driveway, the vacation they took, how much they spent on material stuff, announced to everyone that their mortgage has been paid off, or what they have done for others. The list goes on. Tooting your own trumpet so loudly that no one else can hear themselves is just awful. I try to steer clear of people like that.

Then they are those who love to put a price tag on everything. There is a couple I know who do not fail to inform their friends that they have just spent $$ shopping for clothes, $$ for presents and etc. It has become so bad that friends are avoiding them. Worse is that their only son, a 10 year old, is beginning to sound like his parents. Many of us were taught from childhood that it is not nice to show off, brag or boast about yourself.

Braggarts are everywhere. I just wonder why they brag? Is it because they are insecure so bragging make them feel good about themselves? Or do they want people to think well of them?

How do you feel about people who brag? Do you speak up and silence them, act that you don’t care or do you tactfully change the subject when they start going into their bragging mode?
