Online stores are sprouting like mushrooms these days. Many friends of mine have set up online stores to sell clothing, bags or shoes. There are also people I don’t know who request that I add them in Facebook because they have online stores. I have since stopped adding them and even removed some of them from my account. One thing that I am quite annoyed is when there are plus-sized clothing available, they tagged me in it. Ok…I know I’m not a Size 2 or 4 but I don’t need to be reminded that I can’t fit into those regular clothes which they feature in their album hence when there is a “bigger” size available, I got tagged. Yes, I am sensitive about my weight! So people who tag me on this will be removed from my friend’s list

I had fallen off the diet wagon and notice that my pants are tighter now. *HELP* I didn’t snack or eat junk food. Instead of having the usual vege dinner, I had been eating other dishes (without rice) for dinner. During weekends, I would eat noodles for lunch and go out for dinner. This has been happening since January. Well, I guess I really cannot eat like a normal person. I have to either look for the best weight loss supplement or start having vege dinner again.

I was trying out some clothes which I haven’t worn for a few months and boy, am I sad. Some of my pants are tighter now, especially the waist and the hip area
I admit that I have fallen off the diet wagon. Ever since the Chinese New Year, I have been chomping down on lots of carbo. Well, it’s time to get some adipex diet pill or back to my braised vegetable / fishball dinner now. I have started to take 2 wholemeal bread with tuna for lunch. Let’s hope I can shed some weight again in a few weeks’ time.

Yesterday evening when I switched on the computer, I noticed that there was no internet connection. After switching on and off the modem and waiting for an hour, I decided to call their Help Line. After a few minutes of listening to their automated answering machine and pressing several buttons, I got to speak to a real person. This was how the conversation went :-
Customer Support: Good evening, can I help you?
Me : Hi, I would like to know if there is a breakdown because I cannot access the internet.
Customer Support : Ok, can you pls give me your number?
Me : 03-xxxxxxxx
Customer Support : May I know what is your name?
Me : xx xxx xxxxx
Customer Support : Can I call you Ms. xx?
Me : yes
Customer Support : err…Ms. xx…., you wait ah.
*waiting*
Customer Support : err…errr..errr..ok..ok
Me : Can you please tell me if there is a breakdown?
Customer Support : err..ok…is the DSL line on the modem stable? (meaning not blinking)
Me : Yes it is. Only the Internet power light on the modem is not on.
Customer Support : I know I know…..so the DSL line is stable.
*waiting*
*waiting*
Customer Support : Err…Ms. xx….I wish to inform you that the Streamyx is experiencing a NATIONWIDE BREAKDOWN.
Me : Huh? Nationwide? The whole of Malaysia? When did that happen?
Customer Support : Err…ok..err…just before you called, I received a notice about the nationwide breakdown. I also don’t know.
Me : *starting to fume* Ok..so how long is this downtime?
Customer Support : Err…estimated 4 hours.
Me : Ok. Thanks. *put down the phone*
I’m like, what the heck? Why didn’t he tell him right away instead of asking me questions like what is my phone number, is my DSL line stable? *shake head*. Thank God the internet connection was up again this morning. Hubs checked the TMNet’s website and true enough, there was a press release reporting that their main telecommunication provider had a nationwide breakdown since 5.30pm yesterday. They must have received a lot of bashing the whole night

Note : Hi. Sorry that some of you were not able to leave comment in this post earlier. I had accidentally clicked “Close Comment”. Have already fixed it
2 weeks ago, Ashley’s teacher asked me if I would like Ashley to join a dance programme for the Annual Sports and Prize Giving day in November this year. The children have to start practicing now. I asked Ashley if she likes to participate in the dance and she said yes. So I told Ashley’s teacher to let her join the dance. Then last week, I received a bill notice.

We are required to pay rm120 for costume and accessories for the dance. Isn’t this a bit too much? I can even buy those beautiful stone sinks with that amount. Ok..maybe not but you get what I mean? I feel that the fee for a child’s costume is a bit ridiculous. I am sure it will only be worn once during the day of the performance and probably once or twice during practice. A waste of money but since the kid likes to dance, so no choice eh? I hope Ashley won’t come back with some gaudy-looking costumes but I have a feeling she would

to be a mom that is and I am talking about me. I simply do not have the patience at all. I get angry when Ashley takes forever to eat her meals. I get upset because I have to do everything. I have to remember her meals, prepare them, get up as soon as the alarm clock rings, get her ready for school and etc. My job is 24/7, 365 days a year. No off days. No sick leave. Yet, I cannot complain. Cannot be stressed. Cannot be tired. Sometimes I am told that what I am doing is wrong. I should do this instead of that. I ought to do this and not that. Why is it so hard to be a mom? It is certainly not easy to find a job which we love to do eh?

A few months ago, while flipping through a magazine, I stumbled upon a photo of Wong Chui Ling, a popular host, actress, multi-talented young lady who is familiar figure in the Malaysian Chinese Entertainment scene.

I like her hairstyle very much so when I was at the saloon last week, I told my hairstylist that I would like to follow Chui Ling’s style. He took a look at my hair and said ok. Then I told him that I would also like to colour my hair but asked him to suggest a colour. He said, “Let’s go with copper”
I didn’t know how copper would look like and didn’t bother to check the samples because I have always trusted the hairstylist
After the colouring process was done, I went into the wash section to have my hair washed. Then when I came out and looked at the mirror, I saw this -
…..
…..
…..
……
……
…….
…….
…….
…….
…….
…….
…….
……..

My hair is ORANGE *faint* When Ashley first saw me, she asked why my head is now the shape of O and O is for Orange. Do you think my hair looks like Chui Ling’s? Well perhaps if you I get myself a fitness equipment and lose 40 pounds, I may be as slim as her too
ok..you all can stop laughing now

As Ashley was unwell since Sunday, she didn’t go to school for 3 days. She went today and came home with this pile of books.

I wrote in Facebook today that she came home with 7 books of homework. I was wrong. There are 8 books and each book has a minimum of 2 pages of work.

Writing for Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia
*sigh* This is just crazy. Ashley’s teacher told me that she need not finish them immediately. I can spread them over the weekend. On usual days, Ashley has 3 pages of homework which she would bring home. She has more on weekends. I guess they are preparing kids for Chinese based primary school.
I’ve been told that primary kids have a few books of homework everyday. I am so not in favour of sending Ashley to a Chinese school when she’s 7 but hubs is adamant
I am worried about the work load. I want Ashley to enjoy her school days and not be bogged down with homework. Hubs said he doesn’t need Ashley to be a top student but just want her to know basic Mandarin. He thinks she should at least study in a Chinese school from Primary 1 (7 years old) to Primary 6 (12 years old). God help us please.
