Hubs was in Bangkok a few days ago and I asked him to keep a lookout for elephant motif tees for Ashley since I heart elephants. He found this cute pink tee at the Platinum Fashion Mall.

Alas, this tee is kinda small for Ashley
It’s a size XS and meant for 3 year olds I think. Hubs thought it would fit his princess. Well, Ashley can still wear it since she’s skinny but it looks a bit tight. Boo Hoo.

He bought a black tee for himself. Nice

a lil tote for me….which is the exact shape of the 2 bags he bought me earlier this year during one of his trips to Bangkok. I think hubs is crazy over Kellogg’s …err…..in this case it’s Kellegg’s

I really must stop buying but I couldn’t resist when I saw how cute these elephants are. Yes, I’m currently obsessing over elephants. There is just something about these mystical gentle giants that make my heart melt. Below are some of my recent clothing purchases for Ashley. They are all for next year’s CNY (if I can wait till then to let her wear them).

a green dress

denim skirt

a lightweight orange top

a pink tee with a cute elephant in the middle
I have gone gaga over elephants. I’m just waiting to fill my home with elephant decors

We decided to make our way to the Crafty Art Market on Saturday when I realized that Ashley’s art class was off. I only remember this at the last minute. The Crafty Art Market starts at 11am till 6pm. We reached there at around 5pm. There weren’t many people during that time. The stalls were at the courtyard, right in front of Starbucks and some were situated at the back. There were stalls selling handmade soaps, sweet-smelling lotions, scrubs, kids’ dresses, office products, toys, accessories, bags, diy craft items and more. It was a pretty hot day and I was perspiring while checking out the stalls
I can’t believe it that there are so many talented designers and artists here. I love seeing all the gorgeous handmade crafts! Event such as this is super inspiring to me. One thing though, I feel kinda awkward taking my own sweet time checking out the items as the stall owners were looking at me
Would be good if the atmosphere was like pasar malam and no one bothers when you are checking out the crafts.

The stall with a pink table cloth sells handmade scrubs and lotion. The one next to it sell handmade accessories.

More stalls on the right selling cookies, handmade bags and accessories.

I bought a bag of shortbread which is part of the charity drive for Penang Animal Sanctuary Society

a cute felt flower brooch for Ashley
Check out Etsy Malaysia in Facebook if you want to find out when is the next Craft Market.

We went to IOI mall over the weekend and I saw a stall outside Jusco selling lots of Hello Kitty stuff. I am so not a fan of Hello Kitty but the lil missy is. I walked over to the stall to check it out because I saw many interesting metal boxes there. That stall was actually selling empty cookie boxes with Hello Kitty designs. They come in round and square sizes at RM10 each.

This one has a handle and I bought it for Ashley to keep her knick-knacks.

It was used to store egg roll and the stall owner is smart to collect these boxes and sell them to Hello Kitty fans. The one I got was dated 2007. Would be great if it was from 1987 huh? I would love to have a little vintage metal box eventhough it’s a Hello Kitty

A happy girl with her metal Hello Kitty box which she carried it like a basket at the mall.

Just before the Chinese New Year, I found a stall selling bags, plus size lingerie and accessories in the market near my house. What caught my eyes were some really cute headbands. They are soft with embellishments in the shapes of butterflies at the side. You won’t believe how much it cost. Only RM5. I quickly chose one for Ashley
I saw similar ones selling at RM19 each at The Curve.

A pinkish butterfly headband for her

The bling bling headband is just perfect for the little fashion diva.

Not for me though. It’s for the princess
When Mummy Moon asked me if I wanted to join her for some retail therapy at Gymboree.com, I couldn’t resist. How could a shopaholic say No? The clothes are too cute and their quality is superb! Also, they are cheaper than Gap
Here’s what I got.

A long-sleeve white tee which features a cute dog wearing pearl necklace and a grey long sleeve tee with a sparkling sequin bag design. They are only USD6 each.

A white tee with a pretty embroidery charm bracelet design and a pair of pink doggy tights

Daisy slip-on canvas sneaker
What do you think? Nice? You may contact Mummy Moon for details if you are interested
I really heart their collection. If Gymboree has laptop backpacks for sale, I would have gotten them too! Besides these clothes, Ashley has a few dresses which I bought earlier. All these are enough for her to wear till the 5th day of the Chinese New Year

We just came back not too long ago from the mall. My cousin’s baby boy turned 100th day old and she held a celebration at a nearby hotel which is next to the mall. We left the house in the morning to avoid the mad jam which always happen when it’s almost Chinese New Year. Did some quick shopping before lunch and managed to get my CNY clothes
Lunch was good and I ate so much that I probably need to take some phentermine later on. I am so knackered now.

When Pei Yi, the owner of nivnivHandmade posted the photo below in Facebook, she requested her friends and fans to guess what she sewed.

I thought it was fun so I participated by giving 2 answers :-
1. something to cover the stroller
2. something for mother during breastfeeding
Lucky me….I managed to guess it correctly though I didn’t use the right term. What Pei Yi made are Nursing Covers and when not in use, they can double up as baby blanket, changing mat, stroller cover, playmat or even a shawl for mommy. How versatile! My prize?

Two RM10 gift vouchers from nivniv Handmade
Cool huh? Now I can start shopping for Chinese New Year
Hey, if you are looking for birthday present ideas or gifts for Christmas, you may want to take a look at these gift vouchers from nivniv Handmade. Don’t forget to also take a look at the beautiful handmade items in this store.

I was flipping through the books I bought yesterday and realize that one of them is not as good as I thought it would be *sigh* I guess my mind went blur when I saw all the books lying on the tables. Besides fiction and non-fictions, there were books about cooking, health, spirituality, what is the best weight loss pill, arts and crafts and many more. With the lil missy following me and asking me tons of questions, it was hard to focus. I just grab whatever I could find. Oh well, I’ll still read this book eventhough it’s the thickest I have but I think it would take me a while to finish the whole book.
