Curry Noodles is another post about food from good ol’ Ipoh 😉  I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that we wanted to eat at Kong Hing restaurant last week but it was full house.  So, we decided to leave and look for another place to eat.  As soon as we turn the corner, we saw the Sun Seng Fatt coffeeshop.  When we were back in Ipoh during The Chinese New Year, I had wanted to try them but they were not opened.  Then I totally forgot about this shop until I saw it. So, it’s a blessing that we didn’t get to eat at Kong Hing that day.

Sun Seng Fatt’s signature dish is their curry noodles.  It comes with prawns and chicken meat.  The curry is thick but not too spicy.  It has a nice fragrant and lemak variant.  Other dishes include the famous Ipoh bean sprouts but we didn’t order that.

What I ordered that day is the dry curry hor fun & meehoon.

Sun Seng Fatt coffeeshop is spacious and clean.  They also export their curry pastes to Hong Kong.  Oh…I have just found out that they have a branch in PJ.  I got this address from one of the foodie blogs –

Sun Seng Fatt Curry House
No. 28, Jalan SS2/10
Petaling Jaya

Tel No: 03 – 7875 0670

So, if you would like to try it out, head over to the PJ branch.  If not, check them out in Ipoh if you are there.   Sigh, with so much good, it is hard not to put on weight when I was in Ipoh.  Should I consider diet pill to lose some weight fast? 😉
