Cho Won Korean BBQ Old Klang Road Is The Most Affordable In Kuala Lumpur

Ever since we came back from our holiday in Seoul, I have been missing all things Korea.  I have been checking out online stores that sell Korean clothes and also eating Korean BBQ.   Hubs and I discovered a newly opened Korean BBQ along Old Klang Road.  We actually wanted to have Bak Kut Teh that day and after parking our car, we walked past this Korean BBQ restaurant.  It is called Cho Won Korean BBQ and it is opened by a Korean lady so you can be sure that it is authentic.

This restaurant is situated on the corner lot, which is the same row as Ambank.   If you are coming from Mid Valley’s direction,  Cho Won is on the right-hand side, just before Scotts Garden.

Can you see the menu? It is an all-you-can-eat at RM25 for lunch and RM29 for adult and RM15 for children below 10 years old for dinner.  That’s a good deal right?

Some of the banchan served.  These are refillable.  My favorite is the peanut with ikan bilis.

The Korean BBQ includes this bowl of flavourful soup that is filled with mushrooms, vegetables, tofu and more.  We were given a packet of Korean Noodles to cook with the soup.  These are refillable too.,/p>

Can you see the green onion pancake? That’s part of the banchan.  Our meat was grilled by the cook in the kitchen on our first and second visit because we were seated inside the air-cond area.  If you want to grill the meat yourself, you can opt for outdoor seating.

However, on our latest visit to Cho Won, we have to grill our own meat which includes pork neck, pork belly and marinated pork.  You can order as many plates of these meat as you like (Remember not to waste food).  Our favorite is the marinated pork.  It is so delicious when eaten with the lettuce and dipped into the oil/salt and some bean sauce.

So if you are craving for some Korean BBQ, do visit Cho Won Korean BBQ at Old Klang Road.   Just waze for Ambank Old Klang Road and you will be able to find it.

UPDATES

Cho Won Korea BBQ at Old Klang Road has closed down.  I was shocked to see that the restaurant is no longer there. If anyone knows where it has moved to, please let me know. Thank you.

      Hi Penny,

Thank you for your message. They moved so suddenly and I really miss their BBQ. Maybe you can find out from their neighbors on how to contact them.
