My husband handed Ashley her cup of milk this morning and this is what he said to her.

Hubby : Ashley, here is your milk. Please sit down on the chair to drink it.

Ashley: It’s not a chair. It’s a sofa.

It started yesterday and her nose is full of mucus now 🙁 It was hard for her to eat and drink too because her nose is blocked. Even when she sleeps, Ms. Thumb-sucker finds it hard to suck her thumb because she couldn’t breathe. My poor baby. She was cranky last night while trying to sleep and was tossing and turning in bed. However, around 2am, she was able to sleep ok. Either that or I was already too tired to hear her crying 🙂

Her paed advised me to try feeding her the medicine instead of putting them into her milk because Ashley is older now and she is able to understand more. So, I followed the paed’s advice and feed her the medicine with a spoon. I told Ashley that she is a big girl now and she should try to take the medicine in a spoon. With lots of praises, she agrees to it and now I just use the spoon. I’m so proud of the lil’ missy 😀

I was blog-hopping yesterday and when Ashley saw me at the laptop, she climbed onto my lap. I was at monsterbrat.com and she saw a pic of Chloe. Then she asked me who she is and I said, Chloe che-che.

It was “Changing Bedsheet Day” yesterday and I took out a set of new ones which I bought before we moved into the house. After I changed the sheets, I got 2 very different reactions. This was what Ashley said when she came up to the room – “Wow….pretty. Pink colour and so many flowers“. The other reaction I got was ………………… *groaning and shaking head* action, followed by…….”pink sheets? with flowers too? how do you sleep on pink sheets?“. I guess you all know who said those words 🙂 What’s wrong with pink eh? Men!!!!!!! Well, he can always sleep in the guest room *chuckle*

Last Saturday, we were back in Ipoh to attend my aunt’s 71st birthday dinner. During the dinner, the lil’ missy only sat down with us for half an hour to finish her dinner. The rest of the time, she was going from table to table, disturbing her aunts (my sister and my cousins). There was a mini stage in the restaurant and Ashley was not shy at all. She went up to the stage and started dancing and singing. Then she was joined by her 2 cousins on stage. We were in the restaurant for almost 3 hours and I think Ashley spent at least 1 1/2 hour on stage O_O Then when we went back to the hotel around 10.30pm, she was still full of energy. I wonder where she gets all the energy from 🙂 The lil’ missy didn’t sleep very soundly though. She was tossing in bed and even laughed and cried a bit. I think she must have been dreaming because she played too much during the day. The aircond in the hotel room was also acting funny. It was not cold when we went to bed but it was freezing towards sunrise Maybe there was something wrong with the air conditioning compressor. That’s one of the reason why I got the flu bug during my trip 🙁

Whenever Ashley sees this at the mall, she would want to sit on it. The sales staff at the shop are always very kind and they would switch it on for the lil’ missy to try. Of course either me or my mum would be holding her arms to keep her from falling. She’ll giggle while sitting on the massage chair. After about 3 minutes, she would ask to come down and say ‘thank you’ to the sales staff.

Then when she’s at home, she would sit on this bench and move her bum. She said it’s a horse…..just like the one at the mall 😉

Just when I thought I am feeling better, no more runny nose or blocked nose, I started coughing today 🙁 I haven’t cough in a long time and it is certainly no fun. My throat is dry and itchy. These 2 things are making me cough like crazy. I quickly went to see the doctor and got some cough syrup. Now, I feel so sleepy after taking the meds. Ashley won’t let me rest in peace and kept asking me to play with her. Sigh………….can I take an M.C. please???????

I feel better today and there is no more runny nose. But……….my nose is blocked 🙁 I took some Clarinase as they are non-drowsy and also bought a jar of Manuka honey. This is the first time I am taking Manuka honey and it tasted real good. I squeeze some lemon juice into my honey and it is really soothing. Hopefully the cold bug will leave soon. I caught it from Ashley a few days ago. I’m glad that she is better now. Has anyone of you tried Manuka honey?

from our short, hectic but fun break in Ipoh 🙂 Had a great time meeting with my family and relatives. Ashley had the most fun, following her cousins around and she loves staying at the hotel 😀 The only drawback was that our car’s aircond broke down on the way to Ipoh and we sweated like crazy in the car despite winding down the windows 🙁 I also came down with a cold yesterday…blek!!!! We spent Saturday at my aunt’s house while hubby took the car to the shop to repair. Got to change the whole dang compressor and that put a dent on hubby’s pocket. *ouch*

I’m glad that I got to eat my favourite curry noodle, radish beancurds and grilled fish at the Wolley food court. We didn’t have time to drop by the Sin Yin Loong in Old Town for our favourite ice coffee though 🙁 Ok…gotta go now to nurse my cold. Hopefully the runny nose will be gone by tomorrow.
