Bedrock Hotel Ipoh – The Newest Hotel In The City

Recently when we were back in Ipoh for Tomb Sweeping Day, we stayed in the newly opened boutique hotel in Ipoh – Bedrock Hotel.   This hotel has only 10 rooms and is very conveniently located.  It is about 5 minutes walk to the famous Xin Quan Fang Curry Mee (Police Station Curry Mee)  and 10 minutes walk to the Lou Wong Chicken Rice.

As soon as we stepped into the hotel, we sensed that it was something special.  We were greeted warmly by the staff and were made to feel very welcome.   I just love the outstanding interior and the impeccable bedrooms of this boutique hotel.

This is a photo of the lobby which I took from their Facebook page.  Can you see all the stones around this area? I think that is why this hotel is called Bedrock hotel.  There is a display cupboard showcasing many nice limestone bedrock near the coffee/bar station.

We booked the Bedrock Suite which has a super king size bed, a seating area and mega huge bathroom.  There is a turntable tv in this suite so that guests can watch tv while relaxing on the bed or sitting on the sofas.

Our huge bed that is oh so comfortable.  I did not want to get up after lying on the bed. Can you spot someone who made herself very comfortable at the side bed?

The sofas in the living area.  The grey sofa is a sofa bed which can sleep 2 people.

There is a nespresso machine for making our own coffee and a water dispenser for hot and cold drinking water.  How neat is that?

The inviting bathroom.  Missy was so happy to see this bathtub and spent some 40 minutes in there.  There is a rain shower at the left side too.

This is the makeup / wardrobe room that is super spacious.  I just love the decor of the Bedrock Suite.  It is so tastefully decorated and the room is spacious and comfy.

Even Ducky and Ms. Bear had a good night sleep

I did not manage to take photos of the passageway or other rooms but I can tell you they are so stylish and chic.   Breakfast is provided for guests and we had a simple half-boiled egg with toast and coffee.  Missy as usual had her cereal with milk.  Before I forget,  Bedrock Hotel is located very near Restoran M Salim which is famous for its roti canai and flavorful nasi briyani.  So if you decide to skip the breakfast at the hotel, you can just walk over to Salim for a hearty breakfast of roti canai.  Also within walking distance is the famous Nasi Kandar Yong Suan aka Nasi Ganja.  We can basically walk everywhere without needing to drive our car.

Throughout our stay, the quality of service provided by all was excellent.  Staff are super friendly, attentive and professional.  It is an affordable hotel that offers premium comfort and fantastic accommodations. I would say that Bedrock Hotel Ipoh is the perfect hotel for both holiday and business trips. We had an enjoyable stay and truly recommend everyone to this fabulous hotel.  We shall be returning very soon!

    Hi Mummy ChumsyAshley,

may I ask, the breakfast – is it served as ala carte or buffet style. would you have any idea if it is near Tambun Lost World?
    TQ

Hi, thank you for visiting my blog. The breakfast served is ala carte American breakfast. There are cereals and bread too for those who want a different breakfast. The hotel is in city center and not near Tambun Lost World. However, everywhere is near in Ipoh so the drive is not too far 😊
