Throwing Tantrums

Ashley has been throwing a lot of tantrums lately. If things don’t go her way, she’ll scream and start crying. Sometimes she would even roll on the floor like a Bollywood actress! I have tried to talk to her nicely and ask her to tell me what she wants but she just kept screaming. I even tried scolding and smacking but to no avail. Sometimes I am at a loss on how to deal with it. If it is a phase, I hope it will go away soon. You think this would help? Bought it from the market a couple of days back. One of these days……

For my gals, if all else fails, the cane works wonders, sad eh?

  4. mybabybay says:

Yeap, I have a cane like that too. Often when my children are whining or crying, I will let them do it for a while before I talk to them. Let them release their anger first. When they pause, I will go ask them what they want. It works for me.

I have not gone into that extreme but I think I will soon… my patience also running low already. Prob is.. quite difficult to find cane here 😛

  6. jazzmint says:

haha….i thought my girl is the oni actress LOL. I think my cane no more working, i resort to leave her cry till she’s satisfied sometimes 🙂

Same here with Dillon. I’ve recorded the clip when he was throwing tantrum, you can have a look in my Multiply gallery & see if he can be a bollywood actor along with Ashley?

I wanted to show him the clip when he is older, haha LOL

Hi … To me, it works. Just would like to share… when Grace was throwing her first tantrum when she was 11mo, I gave her one hard stroke on her bum. Eversince then, she never throw anymore tantrum.

Tho she is still young then, but I also spent time talking to her after giving her the rod like why mmommy caned her, why she can’t throw tantrum, etc… I gave her hugs and kisses to reassure her that I love her.

I believed children understand and we also have to let them know who has the authority over them.

SOrry, I didn’t mean to sound like expert for I am not nor offend. Just sharing my view..
