Fish Head Noodles

I finally get to taste the famous fish head noodles at Taman Desa. I remember Laundryamah and Jazzmint blogged about this before and I was so eager to try but didn’t have the chance until yesterday. My aunt and uncle came down from Ipoh yesterday and are staying over at my house now. Yesterday, my cousin brought them to the Woo Pin Fish Head Noodles @ Ho A One Seafood Steamboat Restaurant, Taman Desa for lunch. Since my cousin is a regular customer, she called the place 30 minutes before to place the orders. Otherwise, they would have to wait forever to get a place and for the food to arrive. Actually, I didn’t follow them to the restaurant but I got them to bring me back a bowl of fish head noodles. So, what’s my verdict? Not as nice I envisioned it to be. Maybe because it’s already cold or maybe I have high expectation since it’s soooo famous 😀 Next time I should try eating it in the restaurant 😉

Even if you eat it in the restaurant, it’s also not that nice. I find the soup too sour, too much ‘ham choy’ and salty and the fish paste terribly salty… so salty that my tongue felt numb after eating and my gals who are crazy over fish balls also don’t like them. But I like their ‘foo choke yee mai’ and pumpkin drink.
