Ashley has stopped taking antibiotics since yesterday. Her temperature is lowering…sometimes hover around 38 degree Celcius. The fever started last Tuesday and it wasn’t very high until the weekend. It went up to 39.2 degree Celsius despite taking antibiotics. I gave her the suppository and the fever subsided. On Monday, we took her to the paed and her temp was normal. So I thought everything is ok already. Yesterday morning, she developed rashes all over her body. The rashes are very itchy and she kept scratching her limbs. So, I took her to the paed again. The paed said it’s not Roseola and could be allergy. The paed also said she couldn’t be allergic to the medication because she has taken all of them before. She asked me if I gave her anything new to eat the night before. I remember adding this into her soup –
This is the first time she had this Knorr Bovril Chicken flavour. I cooked some noodles for her and added 2 tablespoon of it into her soup. Her paed asked me to give continue giving her the cough medicine as it’s anti-histamine and can get rid of the rashes. So, right after she had the medicine, the rashes disappear. I also didn’t give her any fever medicine the whole of yesterday but her fever came back in the evening…around 38.1 degree Celcius. I also didn’t give her any meds then and it went away and came back around 9.30pm. Gave her 5ml of fever meds before going to bed. This morning, there was no temperature but the rashes came back. So now, I really don’t know if it’s due to allergy or because her fever breaks and the rashes came out 🙁 I pray that the fever will go away once and for all and she has no more rashes.
poor girl, get well soon
huisia
We are praying and thinking of Ashley. Speedy recovery .. Ashley.. 🙂
hope she get well soon….
Hope she get well soon.
The rashes maybe is cause by the fever. Normally after having high fever, there will have some rashes appear. It happen to my sons too. But for the safe side better bring her to doctor to have a look.
How is Ashley today? I hope she’s better today. It’s very common to have rashes outbreak during high fever. It even happens to adults and I’m one of them. Alycia is also very prone to rashes whenever there’s fever. If you are worried, you can bring her for a blood test, just for peace of mind.
I hope Ashley would have a speedy recovery. Mommy must be really worried…. 🙁
P/S- I didn’t know there is a Knorr Bovril Chicken Stock….. I might want to go get some too
Poor mommy hvg to worry and care for lil Ashley. Glad she’s better. Whenever my kids not well, i would project positive energy through mindscience to cleanse their system especially he affected part. Then i put a protective shield over them from the universal energy. I’m not God but positive thinking and believe helps me go through difficult moments of stress, anxiety, and anger. If it’s viral, i dont even boher to giv them antibiotics coz i knw they wont work and will only kill all the good bacteria n their tummy. Plenty of rest, vit C, water and positive energy will do. If fever..constant sponging. For allergy, try to abstain the causing factors. Dont let kids take too much sweets with colouring or food with preservatives or colouring. I’m not expert but just sharing.
