Sometimes when Ashley misbehave, I would shout at her. I know it’s not a good thing to do but it’s hard to control myself. I am really a bad mom 🙁 Yesterday, she was playing at my computer table and was fiddling around with a switch. It’s actually the switch for my table lamp and when she managed to turn on the lights, she kept saying, “Oh No, Oh No” and closed her ears with her hands. When I turned around to see her, she had this frightened look on her face. Made me realize that my shouting is really frightening her *hangs my head down* I quickly told her that’s ok and she just turned on the lights. She looked relieved and smiled at me. From now on, I will try my best to control my temper and not shout at her anymore 🙂
dun worry, you are normal! mummy is also like that. she will scream at shan leo & i will keep reminding her not to do it, or to control herself!
Ahhh..!! donch feel bad..! children go into this mode quickly. I donch shout alot at chloe . .but she does that too.. if she knew she was in trouble.
don’t feel bad. we all turn into that mode every so often. hormone eh ;).
I just smacked my lil ones buttock last night when he kicked up a big fuss at 3am! Really beh tahan too! Cant help it!

Oh Barb, don’t beat yourself to it. I think every mom goes through that. I do that sometimes and looks like most other moms do too. So cheer up — tomorrow (today) will be a new day! 🙂
don feel bad barb. When my sons misbehave i also shout and scream a lot!! Sometime my throat hurt too when i “over shout”! Now i will choose to give them a “want-to-get-cane” kind of stare. hahhahah
same here, i shouted at my kids very often too at max. volume until whole condo shaking, so u dun feel bad, coz i’m worst than u 🙂
Don’t worry too much over it mommy. They will grow through it. Try to reason as much as you possibly can. Stern discipline is still a necessity in bringing them up properly.
haha, me too sometimes really cant control our temper to shout. but now I no need to shout, just open my eyes big then my boy will quiet and scare liao…
hahaha.. we all do. I shouted at my girl too. And soon, I realised that I was overreacted and consoled her.
It’s good too, at least she knows she did that she was not supposed to.
I also shout at Gwen sometimes when she misbehaves. I also can’t control my temper sometimes and I’m quite hot tempered too. DOn’t feel bad, ok. 🙂

I’m sure Ashley has now forgoteen about the incident..and about yr shouting right….
I understand at the point of time, our heart break into pieces..but i feel its normal to behave this way..

we are all guilty at snapping at our kids. everyone has a limit….even super mums like us!
