and I look like this today….
Why? It is all because of the darn firecrackers and the fireworks last night. Some sounded like cannons. I could feel the house shook. Car alarms went off. Dogs went berserk. Scared the bejeebers out of me. Ashley woke up because of the noise but luckily she did not cry. I know it is only once a year when the Chinese pray to the Jade Emperor of Heaven which falls on the 9th Day of Chinese New Year. But, but can’t they pray peacefully? I think I need two shots of espresso now.
LOLOL !!! a long night for you eh ? the fireworks only lasted a while last night, u know where I stay la.. nobody dares to blast long firecrackers. Strange tho.. I miss my younger days staying at the kampung, helping my mom with the prayers and fireworks blasting till 3am !
there’s another round of firecrackers on the 15th :-S
JOY!!
Hahaha! Same here! Both my son and I were tossing and turning for the whole 1 hour due to the firecrackers. My hubb and Avery went to my in-laws house for prayer and she was all excited and slept at 1am. She woke up this morning as a grumposour *shake head*
I can understand how it feels…
Hmmm, try to sleep early tonight lo.. I guess after today, there’ll be less fireworks already..
I felt almost the same like you every year this day. So this year, I decided not to be the victim but joined the crowd and prayed. I prayed to the Jade Emperor at my own house for the very first time this year.
HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA…eh..nearby my house lagi best, got lion dance at 10.30pm!!!! Me and the boys stand at the roadside and watch, since they miss lion dance this year.
Hmmm..i don’t know why lei, but i do enjoy the firecracker and fireworks sound wor, maybe i get use of it, since young, my hometown will have full blast of firecrackers and fireworks on the chinese new year eve and every night, i kind of miss it. hahahahha
