Just wondering, do you kiss your kids on the lips? I do but not hubs. He would just give Ashley a peck on the cheek. For now it is ok to kiss Ashley on the lips but as she grows older I don’t think she’ll like being kissed on the lips. I found it gross when I was a kid.
Would you allow your kids to kiss others on the lips? I’ve told Ashley that she can only do that to me and her daddy. No one else 🙂 Perhaps, that’s because I’m a germaphobic? I would be seriously offended if a stranger were to kiss my kid on the lips. A quick peck on the cheek is fine but definitely not on the lips. What are your views on this?
I still kiss Baby on her lips and she loves it. But not Sherilyn & Alycia as they find it gross as they are older now :S

Same here, I’m still kissing my children on their lips. Germaphobic? I’m just plain possessive with my kids, lol!
Personally, I find that it’s one of the fastest way of passing germs. So I don’t practise it.
I kiss both my girls on their lips. I didn’t tell them anything, automatically they kiss their father on the cheek. The father also automatically kisses them on their forehead or cheek. Hehehe!

I don’t kiss my kids on the lips even when they were babies. I feel it too weird. My son does attempt to kiss me on the lips though. But I always tell him – cheek only.
I find it weird if anyone else apart from immediate family kisses my kids.
My kids give me smooches on the lips. I love it. I’m savouring every bit of it because I don’t think they’ll be doing that when they’re 18. But yea, I don’t see my hubby kissing them on the lips. Guess men are more reserved. But, definitely not strangers kissing them on the lips, no, no, no.
Same here. The kisses between Chloe’s daddy and her are also limited to the cheek or forehead only. I started lip to lip kissing with Chloe much later, I think after she turned 3. I find it very unhygienic to kiss a baby on the lips.
I only kiss their cheeks and foreheads but not their lips for hygienic reason and it won’t be a practice that they can kiss anyone.
My kids sometimes ask to kiss on our lips (only Hubs and me), and we’ll give them a quick peck. I think they learned this from movies. But if with others, my answer is a resound “NOOOOO!!!”. Forehead and cheeks are ok, but nobody else is allowed to kiss my kids on the lips.
LOL… my kids love to give me direct kisses on the lips, sometime passionate one too, but thy are so reluctant to giv their daddy even one, muahahahaha… I reckon he has bad breath kut?!! LOL!

I will. Calvin will come directly kiss my lips too. Sometimes when I’m not feeling well, I’ll just kiss his forehead. Calvin will kiss my shoulder when I said I’m not feeling well. LoL. Not my hubby, he usually will kiss his son’s forehead. I’m just like you, told my son he only can kiss mummy and daddy lips only, not to stranger…
Eh…ok, I’ve not kiss my boy on his lips but instead I saw him (my boy) kissing his cousin sister(2 years old) on her lips :O. I’ve got no idea where he learned it from. Anyway, I did told him and explained to him that he cannot kiss anybody (except Daddy and Mommy) as he like especialy on the lips as I know not all parents can take it.
I used to think kissing on the mouth for kids is a no-no (cos of germs) until I got my very first kiss from Elyssa. Now, I’m addicted to her wet kisses. Ha ha! But told her only can kiss Mummy and Daddy like that.

we do kiss on lips but not a sloppy one. it’s a ‘dry kiss’, more like a lips to lips peck. No one can kiss her except me n hubs and she knows that.. I think I’ll be smooching her for a loooong time 😀

I still kiss Gwen on the lips but not when she was a baby. Gwen usually kisses her Daddy on the cheek. Of course I will not allow other ppl to kiss my girl on the lips..yucks.
