DIY Gift Basket

During every festive season, my company would send gift baskets or hampers to our clients. This Hari Raya is no different. So when the boss asked to buy hampers for the staffs of our only Muslim client, I told him that I would like to make a gift basket for one of the staff whom we deal with on a daily basis.   When the boss gave his green light, I went to Marks & Spencer to purchase the cookies.

Here are some of the cookies including a Lemon Sherbet Sparkling Juice

I got this basket from my sister 🙂

I bought some crepe paper and a soft net-like material for wrapping the basket

First, I lined the basket with the crepe paper.

Then I arranged everything in the basket.  I also added the 2 glass containers as gift.  They are great for storing sugar or other condiments.

Here is my simple DIY gift basket, all wrapped up.  I forgot to buy a striking ribbon and managed to find this maroon one in my craft box.  I’m still not very satisfied with this ribbon though.  Will probably try to add another piece of ribbon later.  Oh, I also clipped a glittering dragonfly onto the basket as decor.  I bought it from SSF (a home furnishing shop) for rm3.   I wish I have more time so that I can DIY the rest of the gift baskets for the client.   I must remember to start early next year.  Hopefully my boss will say Yes 🙂

Wow nice, what if that sparkling drink change to a bottle of wine? All the items are cheap for wrapping our own gift basket, but where to find so many basket?
