a ‘green’ Christmas tree

I decided to make a Christmas tree with my all-time favourite material – cardboard 🙂

Got this cardboard from one of the shelving stuff we bought from Ikea

Drew a Christmas Tree design and cut them out.  I also slit the center of the trees so that they can slide into one another.    I taped the top part a bit as they were kinda loose.

 The bare tree

I drew some candy canes and Ashley helped me to paint /colour them.  These are for decorating the tree.

Next, I used a few toothpicks and washi tape to make the star for the Christmas tree.

The star is ready.  Learned this from Pinterest

Tadaa….our very own green Christmas tree.  I cut out some round shapes from coloured paper,  stick them on a piece of twine and twirl round the tree.

I always wish to have a Christmas tree at home, but my hubby said no place to store it after Christmas. I think your Green Christmas tree is a good idea for me to make one myself. Thanks for sharing, Barb. You have a nice weekend.
