A Simple Kraft Paper Giftwrap

Recently we were invited to the birthday party of our friends’ 7 year old son. What I love most about birthdays are shopping for the gift and wrapping it. Once I got the gift, I put it inside a recycled cereal box and wrapped it with kraft paper. What else would I use eh?  Next comes the decorating part.  I always find it rather difficult to decorate a gift meant for a boy.  I don’t want it to look girlish with dollies, flowers, pink colour or ribbons.   After cracking my head, I came out with a simple design.  I used the decorative tapes to create the number 7.  I also used my red washi tape and another decorative tape to create a 3-tier cake and hand-drawn the cake stand and candles.

After that I used a piece of twine to tie the box and attached a recycled gift tag to it.  Forgot to take a photo of the finished gift wrap *slap forehead*   This is my latest diy gift wrapping idea.  Have a nice weekend, peeps.
