School’s Out

The Muslims will be celebrating Hari Raya (Eid al-Fitr) this Thursday and Friday. We received notice from the school in May that it will be closed this Wednesday until next Friday for the Raya celebration and also a one-week school break.

However last week we were told that the school will close today and tomorrow too…..this means that the children will get a 2-week break. However, they need to replace Tuesday’s class. Isn’t that crazy? I do not understand why Ashley’s school need to close so early because there are other schools which remain open today and tomorrow. This means it is not compulsory to close. I dislike replacement classes on Saturdays because this means that Ashley would have to skip her activities which are scheduled on Saturday. Arrggh!

Yeah..I don’t like replacement classes. Gwen’s school close on Wednesday. Happy Holiday to you and your family.

  2. yes.. I was sharing the same with my colleagues.. why do they close early and ask for replacement, when they can actually plan it on that week (since so many want to go pre-raya) and school reopens as usual (maybe on the next Wed / Thurs) instead of replacement..

    Anyway, enjoy the holidays!
