Our Holiday

It has been almost a week since we returned from our holidays in Hong Kong. The main reason of this trip is of course to Disneyland for missy. Hubs and I visited Hong Kong almost 10 years ago and I loved it very much. There is just something about Hong Kong which I can never be bored with. I won’t want to stay there because it is very fast-paced and hectic but going on holiday there is just great.  I love the food, its cleanliness and the people are civic-minded and polite.   The weather was awesome during our 5 days there. It was around 20 to 23 deg Celsius. So nice and cool to walk around. I just wore a sweater or 2-piece tops. Brought my jacket but didn’t get to wear it.

Besides Disneyland, we managed to visit Stanley Market, Tsim Sha Tsui and Arena of Stars, Central, night markets and etc. We actually walked from morning till night. Our legs were so tired. We spent one whole day in Disneyland but didn’t stay in the Disney Resort. It is actually very convenient to take the train to Disneyland from Hong Kong. We stayed in Yau Ma Tei, near Temple Street. It was a fun trip for all of us and we’ll definitely be back.  Below are some of the photos of our trip.

Missy and Alice at the Mad Hatter Teacup Ride.  Thank God she is more into rides than taking photos with the Disney characters.  Those queues are too long.

This is the first scary ride that missy went on with daddy.  I didn’t dare to go and was waiting for them at the entrance.

This is the 2nd scary ride which she went again with daddy. It is the RC Car Ride at Toy Story Land and hubs said this is the scariest ride of all.  I told her not to go but she still went ahead.  She said it was scary.

This is the Big Grizzly Runaway Mountain Mine Cars ride which was pretty scary I reckon.  It was the last scary ride that she went on with daddy.  As usual, I just waited for both of them.

Had this nice lap mei fun in a restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui.  It came together with a rice pot on our table.  I was famished and didn’t take a photo of the restaurant.

Some of the stalls at Stanley Market.  A shopping haven for children’s wear.

Nice! Your trip is quite similar to ours. We stayed somewhere in Nathan Road. Chloe was only 3+ then and she can’t remember most parts of the trip now. Luckily I blogged about it in detail 🙂 We are now waiting for Shanghai Disneyland to open in 2015.
