Yes, I am still talking about my Bangkok trip *smile* Can’t get enough of Bangkok and I am missing it badly. The shopping and the massages daily were so good. When my friends and I were there, the Thais were still mourning the death of their Revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The Thais wore and are still wearing black and white clothing. The Thais told me that they will mourn for a year. As tourists, everyone must also respect the mourning period and many, including us, only wore dark colour clothing. What surprised me was that all the clothes for sale are in black or white too. Everywhere we went, the billboards and window displays of retail outlets are in dark colours. Colourful clothings are available but they are not displayed openly in the stores. When I told my husband that he said that’s good because black is my favourite colour. So, here are some of the stuff I bought, besides the usual Thai snacks like dried mangoes, Mama Tom Yum instant noodles and Lays chips.
My clothes from Platinum Mall and Chatuchak Market. All are about 200 baht each. The blue checkered one is 500 baht.
My sling bag from Chatuchak which cost 200 baht. The accessories are from Platinum mall, between 100 baht to 170 baht. Cheap!
This is my little enamel pot from Junktion JJ. Cute eh?
so true!! My hubs wore a bright red t-shirt the first day. felt so out of place. haha. he quickly bought a darker t-shirt 🙂
Hahaha poor guy. He didn’t bring any dark colour tees with him? So did you do a lot of shopping in Bangkok?
