Reminds Me Of My Childhood

I was surfing the internet this morning and suddenly I heard this sound, “toot toot toot toot“. I went to the door to see where the sound came from. I saw an Indian man sounding the little horn on his biycle and he was selling ‘putu mayam’ (a sweet dish of rice noodles with coconut and sugar). I called out to him (more like yelling “Oi Oi“) and bought some 😀 Eating this reminds me of my younger days in Ipoh. My mum used to buy putu mayam for my sisters and I for breakfast from an old Indian man who cycled around our neighbourhood. Back then he only had white sugar and coconut and it cost 50 cents per packet. The ones I bought today come with brown sugar and cost RM2.40 for 5 pieces. Simply da best! I better jog a few more rounds later 😉
