The missy has suddenly developed a keen interest in reading Archie comics. She has a few copies which we bought last time and never showed any interest until last month. When she finished them, we bought more during Chinese New Year from Novel Hut, a 2nd-hand bookstore in Ipoh Parade which is owned by my schoolmate. We always check out Novel Hut whenever we are back in Ipoh for my Reader’s Digest and Women’s Day mag. It is way cheaper to buy past issues.
Busy choosing the comics
She wanted 4 copies and are done reading them already. Looks like we’ll have to get more on our next trip. I remember reading lots of Beano, Mad, Dandy, Kuntum, Lat and more when I was a kid 🙂 Which one was your favourite?
We have a lot of Archie and Beano in the house for the kids and mum and dad to read too.
My boy loves Archie Comics too and he has baskets of those, some dated back to the 70’s and 80’s! He still reads them every now and then when he needs a good laugh. Hahaha..
My favorite mags when I was a kid was Kuntum, Australian Weekly and Teenagers 🙂 Can I sell books and mags to this store too? I’ve got loads of Reader’s Digest and my girls’ mags and story books.
I used to love Archie when I was a kid too. Still keeping a few old copies at home. Beano and Dandy also I like 🙂
Reading is a good hobby…When I was young, I did read Archie.
No matter what, reading is thousand time better than playing games. I would say. April likes all types of books. Now, I borrow books from library for her to save more money.
