Usually I leave it to Ashley to sharpen all her pencils and colour pencils. I dislike blunt pencils and I have told her many times to write or colour only with sharp pencils. Decided to spot check her yesterday and found all of them in bad condition. I helped her to sharpen everything.
Since we have so many pencil shavings, I decided to do a craft with her. Saw this craft online some time ago.
First we did some flowers. After gluing the shavings on a piece of paper, Ashley drew the stem and leaves.
Colouring
A butterfly
I drew the girl and Ashley glued her skirt.
The whole picture. I call it A Little Girl In The Garden 😀 Had fun doing it.
I think I saw this somewhere in FB the other day! Using pencil shavings to make ‘dresses’ 😉
Nice, thanks for sharing this idea.
Nice art work. I think I did this once during my primary school.
What a cute idea! I never would have thought of this. 🙂
This idea can be used in card too. I must remember this when doing cards with my daughters next year.
Very creative. I do not know that we can craft with pencil shavings.
we did that before, too! 🙂
Lol….I would have just thrown everything away. Kudos to you and indeed a great craft. I will think twice next time.
The drawing of the smiley girl in pencil shaving tutu skirt is very cute! I wonder, what do you do with all of Ash’s craft and art work? Do you file them for a while and then discard? Or they are all for keeps? I am facing storage prob. as we live in a condo and I dont know what to do with all my kids’ art work!
Ohhhh… I like how you drew the little girl, so cute! good to be reusing waste to make Duce nice craft 🙂
very nice idea .. thanks for sharing this ..
that is a good idea. All those pencil waste after the sharpening work, not put to waste. 🙂
