Sorry for the long absence from my blog. We went for a holiday in the Land of Elephants 🙂 Came home on Monday night but my body is still on holiday. Thank you very much for all the birthday wishes for Ashley in my previous post. We celebrated her birthday at the airport. Here are some random photos of our trips.
Got her a chocolate lava cake for her mini birthday celebration
Traffic jam in Bangkok
One of our favourite shopping destinations – Platinum Mall. Â Went there 3 times.
Asiatique is another new tourist destination along the Chao Phraya river.  It is a large-scale riverside community mall which combines shopping, dining, sightseeing, activities and events under one roof.  A very nice place to hang out.  We took the train near our hotel to Saphan Thaksin BTS Station.  Then walked to the Sathorn Pier and took a 10 minute boat ride to this place.  There is a free shuttle to Asiatique but the queue was long.  So we paid 20 baht per person for a bigger boat with less queue 🙂  Had dinner with our Thai friends in one of the seafood restaurants.  Awesome food!
Our friends surprised Ashley with a birthday cake. Â Cute huh?
Blowing candles
Besides shopping and walk till our legs became wobbly, Â My sisters, mum and I went for our daily massages.
My besties also booked a trip to Bangkok when they found out that I was going.  It was a get-together and shopping trip for all.  Though I couldn’t follow them most of the time, we still managed to meet up at the malls and also had dinner to catch up.  It was great to see them and I can’t wait for our next trip together ♥
Will post about my shopping loots next *wink*
Wahh… get to meet up with besties to Bangkok.. shiok lor…
Can’t wait to see your shopping loots later.
Wah… daily massage? means everyday?
Wow..what a wonderful holiday you had. 🙂
Wow….massage daily?…so good oh.
Looks fun! I’ve never really been to Bangkok before (except for a half-day transit where I only managed to window-shop a bit). So Ashley celebrated her birthday in Bangkok…how nice! I noticed 9 candles on her cake.
I wanna go to BKK too! Heard it’s a shopping paradise!!
And massage is a must in Thailand, hehe.
I am SO SO tempted to go to Bangkok. I’ll wait till Cass is at least 6YO and I’ll bug the hubs to bring us all there for shopping till we drop haha! Wow, your friends all have slim legs! And nice sandals! 😛
Can’t wait to go BKK !!! you will be my tour consultant.. where to shop, what to dine and where to ‘char kuat’ … 😉
