Something For The Eyes

My mom always see me sitting in front of the computer for long hours and say that it is very bad for my eyes. So yesterday, she boiled this drink for me which helps to strengthen the eyes and prevent cataracts. This drink consists of red dates, kei jie and some kind of plant. I have heard of kei jie being good for the eyes but never heard of this plant before. My mum said the vegetable seller at the market taught her how to boil this plant with the dates and kei jie. Just put everything into a big pot of water. May add “mut cho” if you like it sweet. Otherwise, just drink it plain. Boil for an hour or so and it’s ready to drink. Mum said she’s going to boil more often since I stare at the computer a lot 😀 Well, it’s also good for her as she has mild cataract on both eyes 😉

the green plant…looks like baby spinach to me
