I have been doing some researching on the internet regarding Ashley’s rashes. According to some sites, whenever there is high fever for a few days, then when the fever breaks, there will be rashes on the body. This is known as Roseola. The rashes started from the trunk and spread all over the body and face. This is what happened to Ashley. However, I am quite confused as most sites say the rashes are not itchy but Ashley has been scratching like mad. When she has taken the cough syrup, the rashes would go over. I hope tomorrow morning there won’t be any rashes on her body. Has any of your child experienced this before?

maybe she’s just geli looking at the dots. If i see i will also feel like scratching.
Yes, Lucas got it too previously after the MMR jab. It’s very high fever, rashes and then all’s over next few days. His appetite was bad too…
Just keep an eye on the fever and let her drink lots of water!
Btw, here’s a Mother’s day tag for you!
My niece had that last year. It’s often mistaken as German measles. Suggest you take her to the paed if not yet cos got to monitor for fever. But once rash comes out (my niece’s one was itchy also), they are on the way to recovery. Take care Ashley!!
did u bring her to the GP or PD? what did they say abt her condition?
qiqi had roseola too when she is only 1 yr past. Nothing much to worry as it would go away soon….
When Chloe was very young.. she had Roseola.. but it passed quickly.. and never had it again.
It could be the heat too…when Belle was on antibiotics (last KL visit), she had polka-dots breakout too..and she itches too. We thought she was allergic to the antibiotics and stopped giving it to her (after discussing with her ped). The on another occassion (ear infection), she had the same antibiotics..and she didn’t have that itchy breakout. Weird, huh? We now know it was the Msian heat that was causing the breakout. But then again, it’s best to seek a ped’s advice.
oh the dots will go off adter 2-3 days, the most 4. Faythe had roseola when she was like 10 monts old :|. Was so worried bout it cause first time high fever. No worries, drink plenty of water yah
Ryan had a lil bit of rashes and was scratching also. But it went off after 2 days. So don worry. Should be nothing serious. Apply calamine lotion to relieve the itch. 😀
oh dear! Hope lil Ash gets well soon in time for M-Day celebration! 😀
