Terry Fox Run is an annual non-competitive charity event held in numerous regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, and to raise money for cancer research (excerpt from Wikipedia). Yesterday we participated in our first Terry Fox Run at Lake Titiwangsa. We have never been to Lake Titiwangsa and were looking forward to this event. We reached the venue at 7am and view at the lake was just beautiful.
If I were to stay near here, I will be running every morning without fail.
Free energy food for all participants 🙂
Missy after the 2.6km run.
On its Facebook page, Terry Fox Run KL asked “Who Are You Running For” and the participants are invited to drop them a comment. They will include the dedications in an album. I wrote mine and was so surprised to my message on their Message Board at the event yesterday 🙂
Besides running, many families came with strollers, bicycles and even rollerblades. We all had a memorable and fun time at the event. Looking forward to next year’s Terry Fox Run.
