Missy has a one-week first-semester break so we took a short break to Bangkok last Saturday for 3 nights 4 days. It has been 2 years since I went to Bangkok and for hubs and Ashley, it has been 3 years since they last went. We stayed in Arnoma Grand Hotel again because it is very centrally located. Just across the road from Central World Shopping Mall, beside Big C supermarket and walking distance to Platinum Mall and Erawan Shrine.
This is our junior suite. It comes with an extra bed for missy.
Whenever I am in Bangkok, it is more of a shopping trip. I love going to Platinum mall to buy clothes as they are quite affordable. I usually buy clothes that are around 300 to 400 baht (which is less than RM50) a piece. Do be careful when choosing the clothes to buy as some material is not very good.
Spotted this sign in one of the shops inside Platinum mall. I think they are talking about me.
This is my favourite place to go for a massage. It is Kannikar Medical Massage Center. The best place for a massage in Bangkok. My Thai friend recommended this center to me because he goes there often. It is affordable and the masseurs are very skilful. 300 baht for a 60 minutes foot and head/shoulder massage.
Another massage center that I also frequent is Relaxation Massage and Spa which is inside the Big C Supercenter store. I just walked over from the hotel and it only takes me about 2 mins. Here, the price is more expensive – 400 baht for 1 hour. One thing about going for massages in Thailand is that the masseurs always expect the clients to give them tips after the massage session. What I don’t like is that when you give them less, they would exclaim loudly to their colleagues and you can tell from their facial expressions that they are not happy. I feel this is not a very professional way to do business.
More later about our trip to Bangkok. Do stay tuned.
