Thanks for all your comments and advice, everyone. Ashley is getting better. She still has slight fever, coughing and a stuffy nose. Her appetite is still quite bad and takes forever to eat her food 🙁 Yesterday while I was reading the gmac insurance review, she told me that her tummy was aching. I believe it was due to Augmentin antibiotics. It is one of the side effects of Augmentin. She experienced the same thing when she was a toddler. When I told her paed that she gets tummy ache after taking Augmentin, she said some children may be able to tolerate Augmentin when they are older, hence she prescribed her with it this time. I guess my kid is different. I have been giving her probiotics to ease the ache.

Ahh… glad Ashley is recovering. Re her appetite, not to worry much because it will come back once she’s in the pink of health.

It takes time to gain back the appetite. April too lack of appetite since last week.
Augmentin is a strong antibiotic, so remember to give her the Augmentin only after a full meal. A was on it last month and took with just a cup of milk. For the next 12 hrs, he complaint of tummy upset & throwing up non stop.
Augmentin is a strong antibiotic and that probably explains why Ashley gets tummy ache after taking it and it’s expensive too. Glad to hear that she is recovering. 🙂

Shenny had just finished two bottles last week because of her swollen tonsil. She didn’t have problem with this antibiotic. Doc prescribed her to take 9.5ml twice a day for a week. How much Ashely being ask to take?
Oh, did Shenny has fever too? Ashley is asked to take 1 teaspoon each time(5ml), twice a day.

Yes, Shenny did have fever and thick phlegm at that time.
Oh, no wonder Chloe told me she had a stomachache yesterday night. She was prescribed the same antibiotic. Today, she ate quite well so no more complaints on that.
Reading this post reminds me of the time Alycia kept falling ill when she just started pre school. Augmentin is well known for causing tummy ache and purging. ALycia & Sherilyn would suffer from these symptoms each time they took Augmentin. I suffer the same symptoms too if I pop Augmentin tabs. I sure hope Ashley’s immune system will strengthen very soon.
