I have a friend whose daughter is 3 months older than Ashley. We haven’t met for a long time but would chat on the phone once every few months. Yesterday, she called and our conversations were mostly about our daughters. When she found out that Ashley was still wearing diapers, all hell break loose. She said her daughter has stopped wearing diapers when she was 16 months and she is such a clever girl, blah blah, blah…. She kept saying that it was her daughter who wanted to stop wearing diaper because she kept removing it by herself. She went on and on about how smart her daughter is who keeps waking up in the middle of the night to pee in the potty, etc, etc, etc. Well, good for her but she kept repeating this, “Oh, Ashley is STILL wearing diapers”. I really felt like hanging up the phone yesterday. What is it with these people eh?

don’t be over sensitive. she’s just being so proud of her daughter and at the same time she too has forgotten she has hurt your feelings.
you shld’ve told her that you don’t mind that Ashley still wears diaper cos u have the $$ for it and you have less a panty to wash which in turn makes ur job a whole lot easier…heheh…i’m so mean 🙂 yeah, this happens alot. some people may be a little over excited abt their kids that they forgot about other ppl’s feelings so chin up. Dont take it too personal. I’m sure Ashley has plety of good qualities that you could also share with people.
what can i say? different kids have different urinary control lor….
her daughter may be first in giving up diapers…but maybe she has OTHER problems…?
don’t worry la… next time u get this kind of response..just say, YALOR.. YOUR CHILD SO CREVER HOR…HOW AH MINE????

do not take heart. u are not the only mother facing such a problem. u want examples? am sure thousands of mummies out there are waiting to tell theirs, including me.
but, take it with a pinch of salt. be glad for her, but at the same time ashley is progressing great at her own pace. if both of u are comfortable with the way things are, then no problem, right?

hi there, i found the bag ” I’m not a plastic bag” in one of the boutique in Ipoh this morning. but i didnt go in as im driving n saw it…hehe, i will go n see next week when I back from my bali trip…so, if u go to petaling street this week, no need to buy for me…but if u cant find it, i can buy for u here..thanks anyway..

Hey, I have a friend who also loves to compare her son with Darrius as they are just a month apart.
She always ask me how tall is Darrius and why Darrius’s hair is not growing and etc… then tell me her son’s hair growing so much and he is growing taller…. How to answer ah?

Actually hor, to me, wearing diaper much easier. No need to rush to toilet everytime. So troublesome!! :p I still put mine in diapers when I plan to be out for a long time. No harm wor….. : )
