A Funny Incident

Ashley has not seen the *ahem* of boys before. She only knows her own *ahem* and we always refer to it with the correct name. The other day when a few mommies came visiting, Ashley got to see it for the first time *lol* She was sitting next to one of the boys when his mommy was changing him. I just waited to see what was her reaction because I know she would be curious. When the mommy pulled down his diaper, she stared at the *ahem* and to my surprised, she asked, “what’s that?” muhaaahaaahaaa…….pretty embarrassing eh? I didn’t know she would ask a question. Her grandma quickly said, it’s a “cuckoo bird” *slaps forehead* So, do you teach your children about their body parts?

Last time was taught that it is bebird, that day i car pooled with this lady and she said “Look boy! bebird and pointed at the birds in the sky” And my son looked at her with the funniest stare. he must be thinking how can the private part fly in the sky.

But luckily now he knows that its called kukubird, different from the birds in the sky.

  4. Elaine says:

As open minded as I wanna be, I still find it difficult to use the proper term. So it’s “bird bird” and “pet pet”

i tell you, these parts…all have their varied names….in all diff languages!!

now that you’ve mentioned it, mine too haven’t seen girls’ *ahem*…but they do know that girls don’t have ‘jiao-jiaos’…hahahahahaahahah

My boy knows both. Most of the time he refers ‘ahem’ as ‘bird bird”, but if you ask him where’s P****S, he’ll point to the right spot. 😛 But he doesnt know abt girl’s ‘ahem’ yet tho.

  7. Tammy says:

I taught my daughter the correct name for them when she was about 4 or 5. My son is only 3 and he just calls them wee wee for both.

This post made me giggle. Thanks! :o)

  8. Vien says:

Hahahahaha…well, at least she’s curious to know. I wonder if Belle has seen it..there is a boy who is potty trained in the daycare tho’.

  9. Nadia says:

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Funnylah she! And yeah, we teach Irfan his bodyparts and calls his *ahem* bebird for now. Don’t want him to go saying penis to everyone. 😛

After his mandi or when I want to change his diapers, I’d put a bit of powder at the private area. Nowadays, he’d want to do it himself and would go “Adam put powder on bebird”. We were at one of ’em nappy changing rooms at one of ’em malls the other day and he said it so loud that the rest of the parents around us couldn’t stop laughing. Malu wey!!!

  10. Annie Q says:

hahahha, i heard what she asked the other day!

  11. Blessed mum says:

No..I taught my 2 girls the correct words..”pe**s” and “bre**t”

We spoke about it in a very frank manner..what’s the function and etc…think the more we shy away from this, the more curiuos they will be..
