I finally brought Ashley to the paed today for her Pneumococcal jab. This is her first and only one since she is already 3 years old. I understand that if the child is below 2, he/she would need 2 jabs. It cost RM300 for each jab *ouch* I did not tell her that we were going to the paed but when we reached there, she was actually very happy to see her doctor 🙂 However, when I carried her to the bed, she started to cry because she knew something unpleasant was going to happen. The paed explained to Ashley what she was going to do but the lil’ missy was already bawling and I don’t think she heard her 😀 During the injection, she kept looking at her thigh and the needle. When it was all done, her paed quickly gave her a sugus and she stopped crying immediately *shake head*. She was all smiles when she saw the little butterfly bandage on her thigh. For the rest of the day, she was very careful not to scratch or touch the bandage. Now, she won’t even let me remove it O_O

Another 2 years to go for my baby to go for this jab. Hope the price will not go up a lot that time.

my lil missy’s jap is due oni next year when she turns 2. gone lar the RM 🙁
Gwen also had this jab after she turned two years old..hehe The jab is really expensive.
The butterfly plaster is a tatoo plaster right? My mil bought a pack for my gals too and I find it very difficult to peel it off the skin. You have that prob too?
shireen – yeah..i have a problem peeling it :S Ashley said it was very painful so i left it until after her shower. it’s easier when it’s a bit wet. she was screaming as usual though i think it didn’t hurt at all.
u didnt take this jab earlier?
for philip, we took with when baby time… doc recommend la…

if she didnt want to take it off..let it be until it comes off by itself..
Good girl Ashley!! Wah, the plaster so sophisticated one!!

So nice of the paed to use cute bandage like the butterfly one… sure the kids stop crying fast 😛
