We spent almost the whole day at The Curve today. When we were there, my sister bought Ashley a pink heart-shaped balloon which in my opinion is really expensive – rm5. It’s crazy just how much these fancy balloons cost these days. Anyway, when we got home, the lil’ missy was playing with her balloon. Then I heard her telling the balloon – “come here, let’s go this way”, “no, don’t go there”, “come, follow me”, “walk faster, puppy“. O_O Yup…she treated the balloon like a puppy. Her daddy thinks she’s really cute and asked if she wanted one as a pet and she said, “Yes”. *faint* He has this idea about getting a dog ever since we moved into our house last year. l told him we are so NOT getting a puppy because I know I will end up taking care of the little mutt. It’s best that Ashley plays with her imaginary puppy friend for now 😉

dangerous nya for her to have an imaginary puppy! what if one day the balloon ‘burst’ or out of air.. imagine how horrified ashley will be… i believe in teaching the truth to a child, n i wud tell ashley that is a balloon n not a puppy.. LOL! watever it is, she is so cute… n i understand ur position bout having to care for the pet urself.. dat is why ethan has no pet.. hehhe..
oh she’s used to hearing the sound of a burst balloon cos you won’t believe how many balloons this missy has. of course she’s scared everytime it burst but that won’t stop her from getting another one 🙂

if daddy is prepare to take care of the dog, why not get a real one for Ash? but make sure u keep it away from me when i come ah, hahaha!!!

Wah……dogs are huge responsibilities. Let daddy take care la. Ask him to get a pet hamster/guinea pig first. If it dies at an old age, then he can get a real dog.

no way is he getting a hamster or a guinea pig. they multiply really fast and i just dislike them. he already has a bunch of guppies in the little fountain at our porch and he sometimes forgets to feed them. so you see, he’s definitely not ready for pets 😀

i think ashley is a little too young to own a pet. probably when she is 6-7 years old, when she understands the word “responsibility”, then you give her a realy puppy!

my hubby also wants to get Malaika a pet, but I objected. Too troublesome and I will end up taking care of the pet too. So no pet for now.

Like Ash, my kids love dogs too, but just like you, I do not like to look aft them…hehe…The closest we got was to adopt a dog for a month, just to make the kids happy 🙂

I think Ashley really wants a puppy! And she’s really imaginative! But really the mah fun to have a dog at home :S
true…. unless all chips in to jaga the dog, otherwise everyone will just play play then mummy have to bathe, feed and play with the dog…
haha yes I agree that they probably would be quite slack in taking care of a pup at this age.
If Ashley insist, maybe can get her something easier to manage? Such as hamsters or rabbit?
