J J Cakes In Ipoh

When we were back in Ipoh recently, I told myself that I must buy some of the famous J J Cakes.  Many bloggers have blogged about these popular swiss rolls and claim that they are the best in Ipoh 🙂  Before we left  for KL, we stopped by De’ Mouth Cafe (I know..funny name for a cafe) which is next to Hotel Fairmont on Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun (formerly Jalan Kampar).

I bought 2 swiss rolls – Chempedak and Mango

A close up on the rolls.  I must say that they are really yummy.  I heard that they are manufactured daily and no preservatives are added.  The swiss rolls have to be refrigerated and eaten within 3 days.  Actually I kept mine for 5 days and they are still so soft and fresh 🙂  Good news for the health-conscious – the swiss rolls are low on sugar.  Their best seller include Durian, Coffee Walnut, Wolfberry, Pandan  and some cream cheese rolls.   Oh boy, I have just started dieting again and seeing pics of these rolls is making my tummy growl.  I better get some slimming pills the next time I head back to Ipoh for I know I would be stuffing myself silly with these heavenly delicious rolls.

I think J J Swiss Rolls are turning into an Ipoh delicacy.  Besides the highly popular Yee Hup Heong Peah, I recommend that those who drop by Ipoh to get themselves some delicious swiss rolls from J J Cakes.  You won’t regret it 😉
