Yesterday, I brought Ashley to her school to inform her teacher that she will not be attending school for the next 2 days. As her school concert is this Thursday, the teacher gave me her dance costume and shoes to bring home. She is to wear them on Thursday morning. The wound is much better now and Ashley told me she can dance at the school concert so we are not stopping her 😀
This is the first time I see her costume. It cost RM120 and another RM40 for the shoes. This is like daylight robbery eh? We cannot not pay for the costumes since our child wants to participate. When the teacher showed me the shoes, my jaw dropped.

RM40 for a pair of plastic strappy ankle sandals with huge bling bling? Tell me, is this hideous or what? Whatever happened to mary janes and buckle up shoes? When the teacher handed me the shoes, she said, “Look at this beautiful shoes that she’s going to wear on her concert day“, I was speechless. And….Ashley told me she likes this shoes very much and she wants to wear it when she goes out *bangs head on the wall* Elaine, are you laughing your head off?
Note: This post is solely based on my opinion and it is not my intention to ridicule anyone.
oh ! my ! gawd !!! BEJEWELED !!!!
OMG… yea wor, I would much prefer simple mary janes lor! They can bling those mary janes what..
AHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA..now i know what type of shoe.
Ahem! So bling!!!!
Wow! Bling.. Bling.. me too, prefer something simple and comfortable for the kids. I remember I had to pay RM80 for a simple reindeer jumpsuit for a less than 5 mins appearance on my boy’s 5 yo concert.
hahahahahahahahhahaha the shoe is rm40 because of the bling bling (like real) ahahah
Anyway just let Ashley enjoy.. ehhehe
ohmygod…. i share your ‘joy’…… *speechless*
The funniest part was “Look at this beautiful shoes that she’s going to wear on her concert day“. Lol! This shoes is too mature for a little girl. Ashley likes the shoes, because it will make her looked more like a grown up.
Wakakakakakaka!!! Sorry but I couldn’t stop laughing at the shoes. It’s very ‘mature’ style.
Your RM40 bling sandels is more expensive than my girl’s RM35 dancing costume. And I was already complaining about the price, not compatible with the quality.
arhahahahahahaha… ahem…
since Lady Gaga likes it, then let her wear lo… just make sure she wears skirts long enuf to cover the blings… hahaha! (sorry can’t help laughing!)
LOL 😀
Never expect this would be the dancing shoes… =_=
But nvm la, since your girl likes it 😉
Oklah……not THAT bad 🙂
But these are Gaga shoes…
personally..it’s quite ahlian.. ayo… but nvm..for concert… must be loud to be proud! 😀
I think this shoes is mean for performance only lah.. , but it is indeed too mature for little girls.
The costume and shoes are expensive. I’ve never seen kids shoes that look like this..haha..way too mature for Ashley.
hmm mine only the costumes, lucky no shoes. Agree with u I think these are too matured for a kid
Hahaha, don’t know what to say, just keep laughing! What a coincidence that both of us are blogging about school concert, but I am certainly not as lucky as your kid. Asking my parents to pay RM160 just for taking part in concert is akin to asking my family not to eat for a month in those days!
LOL… I can’t wait to see your lovely girl in her concert costume!^-^
LOL…yeah…I can’t wait to see her in costume too. THe shoes are like for big girl. Your girl big girl already loh.
Barb oh Barb, I laughed till my tears came out. The shoes are err err… so ‘lar lar’.. sorry ah. I am still laughing thinking about the shoes and imagining your reaction when u saw the shoes muahahahahahahah… this is the best joke for me today hahahah!
Hahaha! It’s not hideous la… it’s just not cute 🙂 Happy to hear that Ashley’s knee is well enough for her to dance in the concert.
wow…..the shoe soooo like adult
Ahahahaha!!!! I can also imagine ur reaction to the beautiful shoes. It is daylight robbery indeed! I paid RM50 for T1’s concert outfit & I was already making noise but I guess I should shut up now. She wore….aiya….I’ll just blog bout it later. Glad Ashgaga is well enough to perform.
the costume is indeed expensive lor…photo leh??? but the shoes r really cool man…..do u know that this design is currently very hot, aunty has a similar pair too…hehehe
can’t wait to see her in full costume 😀
OMG! faint! i personally would never wear something like that – much less expect a child to wear something like that. Crazy teacher ka?
wah wah…agree with you…daylight robbery!!!!
OMG! Why let cute preschoolers wear such shoes???? My my
Hahaha. Anyway, overall their performance is great. I think among the 3 schools, theirs is the best 🙂 I sign my son up to participate in concert (I thought I saw one of his classmate in the dance), but u know, his ‘teacher’ didnt allow.
Hey Joyce….yeah, I like their performance too. They did really well 🙂 I can’t understand why Aidan and his classmates were not allowed to participate. This is way too much. Anyway, he will be in a different class next year so hopefully the teachers there are much better 🙂
i didnt get to read blogs last few weeks and gosh, so many things has happened! firstly, sorry to hear about the hospitalizition and so glad ashley is alright.
secondly, glad she can make it for her concert too and gawd, the shoes are soooooo aunty! no wonder she loves it…rye li would love it too but for us mom, we definitely prefer mary jane types.
i’m sure i pay as much for rye li’s concert too except her kindy a little smart, it’s all in the school fees.
hope all is well at your end!
I’m with you, never really liked bling2 shoes like these for my kids either. And Ashley looked soo cuteee in her costume albeit abit too pricey.
