Last Friday, I needed to call AirAsia regarding a mistake on the name of one of the passengers. It was not a pleasant day for me. In case you do not know, you cannot amend the name of the passengers on their website. However, if you need to change the flight bookings, i.e. the date and time of the flight, you may do so online. There is no other way to contact their Customer Support except to call their Premium line which cost RM1.95 per minute.
After spending close to RM100 on phone calls (because I was put on hold for a long time), talking to the Customer Support who promised to amend the passenger’s name, it was not done at all. Lesson learned :
* Always double check the online flight bookings before you click OK.
* It is better to go to AirAsia’s sales office at KL Sentral to do the necessary changes than calling the Premium Line.
Anyway, I am so glad that he managed to get it done. If not, I think I won’t be able to sleep well.

Oh gosh, this is terrible! You thought you could save some money on budget airlines but you ended up paying more. Good lesson for us too!
Ya loh….I’ve heard about the cut-throat customer support line before. Really crazy! Didn’t know about the option to go to their sales office tho. Thx for the info.
RM1.95 per minute?! That’s insanely expensive and they made you wait for 30mins or so?! Thanks for sharing it, so that we can be more cautious next time when doing online booking.
