Seafood Restaurant In Tg. Sepat

A continuation on our trip to Bagan Lalang.  After having spending some time at the Lover’s Bridge, we walked over to the restaurant for lunch.  There are 2 restaurants at the entrance to the bridge.  One is Ocen Seafood Restaurant and the other one is Restoran Ban Joo Heng.   We went to the later one.

Stir fried Cantonese Noodle (wat tan hor) for Ashley

The food was not bad except for the crabs.  They thought Ashley was going to eat them so they didn’t add any chilli.  The plate of crabs was pretty bland to me.  Total bill comes to about rm80.  Cheap eh?

We went home after lunch.  Along the way, there are many dragonfruit farms and also stalls selling the fruits.  We told Ashley that we would be stopping at a farm because I have never seen dragonfruit trees before.  She was pretty excited because she said she has never seen a farmer before 😀

Unfortunately, the farm where we stopped was closed.  I could only take a photo of the tree from the outside.  Can you see those white paper bags near the tree?  They are used to protect the dragonfruits before being plucked.  Ashley was quite upset that she didn’t get to see a farmer 🙂  We told her that we’ll look for one next time.

We bought some dragonfruits back.  RM12 for 5 pieces.   That’s all about our road trip. It was fun 🙂

Fried squids look tasty. And the bill is quite cheap I’d say….

I was about to praise that crab dish, until I read your review on the taste…. well, look can be very deceiving. Extra spiciness add up the ‘kick’, right? Oh chien is very different from what we have here :O And the fried squid is tempting!

Please tell Ashley, the lady in the last picture is a farmer-cum-hawker 🙂 There she goes, got to see a farmer already, kekeke!

I have heard so much about this place. Tried the famous pau but also thought nothing much of it. Maybe I am not a pau lover all that much. 🙂

But the bridge and the other food looks GOOD and CHEAP. Wonder when I will ever go there.
